Sight unseen, Lithuania's Emily and Rugilė gained my highest favor for their perfectly intermingled harmonies and unique timing. France's Gabriel Lobao intrigued, as did the wonderful vibrato of Norway's Mari Haugen Smistad. The remaining 6 auditions brought great pleasure to my ears, without a single lull to weaken enjoyment --- well done, I say. Imo, No. 205 is another winner from *pureemotionmusic.* Happy Saturday, everyone! 💏

As always, it seems, Norway has come through strongly. I’m really enjoying these Generations auditions, familial harmonies are the best! I also certainly appreciate the groups that manage to incorporate dance moves with their singing, something that, in reality, is not easily accomplished. So good to see Mika back on The Voice in France!! I know he felt welcomed again by that rendition of his song, as it was so good! 💁🏻‍♀️👍👍 As per usual, you never fail to give us such quality work with these compilations, and I appreciate that so very much!! 😘💕

That girl on the the Voice Germany actually did a pretty dope version of Barbie Girl. I can actually stand that song now lol

As usual the strength of this number 205 (!)(such a long road, indeed) is showcased by the first from Mari of Norway and the last performed by Olha on Voice Ukraine. After "Barbie Girl" I was ready to launch against vacuous pop but Rebecca with "Goodness of God" and Gabriel doing "Over My Shoulder" were so powerful and emotional that the contrast really becomes moot. Some great selections and congrats to pureemotion for these!

Some random thoughts -- even the artists who only get one coach to turn on the Voice of Norway are really good. It would be nice if the producers of the Voice UK would turn down the crowd noise in the mix because it makes the singers hard to hear. There are a bunch of covers of "Unholy" out there that IMHO sound better than the original, but either way it's a crazy song. 🙂 It was hard to tell who was younger and who was older in that "Generations" performance. Finally, sometimes blocks do work out, like Ronan's did. He got his girl. Thank you for making and posting this!

Well make it simple, just listen and maybe they make your body move a bit in your chair, you swing your arms, and maybe you want to sing along? You are watching the audience, and they are going crazy--and they are the ones who vote. So yoiu say, "Why not", let's see where this goes. And I just checked to see that Dejavu made it to the semi-finals. Holy cow, checking further they won. Not criticism, but your question made me think a bit here myself.

Well, 1-chair turns have won the show before.

It's those single-chair turns that can sneak past the unwary. Every so often, such contestants turn into season winners and/or successful professionals! In the auditions phase, each judge/coach uses their own criteria, generally looking for range, pitch, tone, technical skills, volume control, and will also consider audience reactions to visual aspects of the performance that they cannot yet see. Over the years, I've underrated an ultimate favorite singer myself, lol.

@@danandratis Each coach has to pick something like eight people. They don't think everyone of those is the best.

I agree, and also one of the things I love about Pure is he will show a 1 chair turn when others will not. He uses his ears and if he thinks it is good enough he will give them his vote on his channel. His choices rarely are not worthy. Of course later in the series judges fill their teams and can't vote or are much more selective@@ChollaRanch I loved the first selection and would have turned my chair.

OMG Pure, because of this and some comments below I was drawn to the Vioce UK and Jen and Liv (was looking for more on Deja-Vu)--There is another great video out there posted by a competitor of yours, and of course the V of UK would have it also, but not going to post it here, folks will have to go look for it themselves. The story of the girls is great, add in the story of their grandmothers, and finally add in that WillIAM stepped away to let the show host take his seat for this one act who won!! unbelievable story. one of those "you can't make this stuff up" things.

На радость всем умникам. И ещё. Почему бы не разрешить члену жюри отказаться от участника?! Повернулся - отвернулся... Кто не ошибается!? А участник пусть едет обратно. Не взяли его "приёмные родители"...
