Good to see you again and great tips. My security tip is to be careful of ulterior motives and narcissists who desire to associate with us. Since relations are financially motivated, we need to never confuse it for true romantic love (non-transactional passion). Peace.

true, but even if a newfound "friend" has an honest intentions, there are always players in the background who see their chances. A brother who wants a scooter or a mother who wants to fix her teeth.

The senior discount card doesn't apply to foreigners so how are you getting a discount as foreigners?
@AsianRomance3 жыл бұрын
Most restaurants will accept reasonable proof of your age, for example from a photocopy of your passport or driving license. I use a laminated and colored photocopy of my passport. No problems at all, whether ex-pat or local.

Get a GCash account and then do free transfers from your bank using a Canadian service called RemitBee. Similar to Remitly but only for Canadians and much better exchange/fees. Alternatively, you can do transfers from RemitBee to a PI bank or agent (you can choose from several) and just show up with your passport and the code. Similar to how Western Union works but cheaper.

In many bank in Europe you may edit your card settings in your internet bank. Like if you don't wants internet charges use or only for shopping use in Europe or include Asia or/and USA. etc. Assume these kind of card settings is becoming worldwide standards as the credit card companies puts pressure on the banks.

Yes, I have noticed that banks are becoming better and better. I can now 'receive' wire transfers from another country with Capital One 360 for free! Many banks now also have travel options on their website to let them know I will be using my ATM card in another country. If you do not let your bank know before you travel, the ATM card will be blocked when you try it in another country... VERY IMPORTANT to know. -Nils

@@AsianRomance Yes, my bank (Wells Fargo) allows me to alert them on their website that I am traveling. It's great.

Too much of a headache for me to mess with atm’s. I bring only cash and keep it on my filipina wife in her bag and I dare anyone to try and take it from her because she’s as strong as a bull from lifting heavy jugs of water in her province! In all seriousness though great advice.👍

@@AsianRomance exactly! This advice is not for new relationships.But for a committed relationship with a filipina, they are the most loyal women in my opinion! But your advice in this video is spot on for a single guy coming to the Philippines.

@BarnabyBarry9 ай бұрын
I use Wise (best rates) charge around $8 USD for every $1000 USD to transfer to my Bangkok Bank and my Bangkok Bank has zero ATM fees/any bank ATM in the general Pattaya area! Most banks (Chase-Bof A) never have to notify travel due to the chip-
