I definitely would prefer the IC route ❤️ I really enjoy building out interactions and the art of it all. I'm at associate level product design now but am excited to be a principal designer one day. Congrats on your promotion! 🎉

As I’m thinking of this, the individual contributor route is really speaking to me!

I'm looking into becoming a UX Designer. I have a Military/Event background and felt I have always gravitated towards what UX design represents. I'd want to go the route of Individual Contributor.

for me, it's going to be the leadership route.. later converting to a principal designer.... i want to work as an integrated part of an organization for as long as I can before move towards a more individual role.... Thank you so much for this insight though!!! This really helped me a lot...

Hi tiffany, why resume is important if they all care about is your portfolio. If then how to create a resume for a self taught UI/UX designer who has its own personal projects and never went to design school like myself?

Really insightful. For me, the contributor route seems like a better fit. Can't see myself giving orders or managing work for other designers.

I love being creative and designing but I’ve grown to like mentoring and facilitating meetings with stakeholders. I’ve been told I’m good at it too. It’s close but I’m leaning toward leadership route 55/45.

What is the typical salary range like for a UX designer?
@SkoxLy3 жыл бұрын
depends where you live and how big the company is. for example in germany, if you are working for about eight years as a ux designer, maybe around 58.000-68.000 Euros. In silicon valley might be different

As a senior UX Designer you should know, that you must not use white font, when almost everything in your room, even your blouse is white 😁Just kidding (even though its true^^). Just watched three of your videos.. I like your positive attitude and your love for UX!❤️ After working as a UX researcher, product manager and UX Designer, in November I will finally get my senior title as well! So I know exactly how you feel 🤩🥳

Hello Tiffany thanks for as a nice and detailed video ❤️ I want to know can a UX Designer/Product Designer become or be promoted to Product Manager? Please reply thanks in advance 😊
@TiffanyBuiBasics3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Typically product designers do not get promoted to Product Managers. They both work really closely with each other on a project, but product managers are usually a part of a different team. I've seen product designers make career switches in the past though to take the product management route. Hope this helps!

Congratulations :) I really wanted to know, do companies take in consideration the college or university that one has graduated from in UI/UX course or do they give preference to the portfolio and communications skills only ?
@TiffanyBuiBasics3 жыл бұрын
Hi! I think companies do take your college in consideration but your portfolio holds the most weight in my personal experience

Hey, Can I know if there is any chance to have a zoom meeting with you or any platform where you can connect to give some guidance. I am confused with some tasks and want someone who can guide. Thanks

With the influx of AI, there might not be an individual contributor route soon.
