I think book burner would be much better if it was "every card in each player's hand deals 1 damage to them WHEN PLAYED". That way it essentially does the same effect, but this would be much more valuable if there were good warlock cards in rotation that required your hero taking damage on your turn. This fits the warlock self damage flavor

Curious Feline is a card I would love to see printed. The effect is so versatile and interesting while still being incredible simple to understand. I love cards that have a very simple effect on paper that offer you a lot of ways to use your brain to get the best use out of them.

The way Book Burner is phrased COULD have some fun consequences, triggering Lifesteal on cards or stuff like Water Elemental's text. It would also do damage 1 at a time, so it'd interact with stuff like Bulwark of Azinoth or the Priest 1 drop that increases all face damage by 1. I doubt this is intended or frankly all that impactful, but it is fun.

Plus it deals more damage to the Paladin Hero card this way. And it passes that mage sentinel guy that only allows you to take 1 damage at a time (in wild ofc)

I should point out that you could run a no spell mage and run both Ignos and Frogos and that would be very interesting.

I think it's debatable if they'd trigger though because the condition is not to have no spells other than fire/frost. The condition is to only have fire/frost spells. If you have no spells, can you really say you only have fire/frost spells? I'd say no but obviously they could make it trigger anyway if they wanted.

My favorite series on the channel, hell yeah. Trump's reviews, which I very largely agree with, make me feel like we need some sort of keyword or hidden mechanic that prevents certain cards from being randomly generated, discovered, or having their effects repeated when bounced. Think about how much more tolerable draconic lackey would have been if it couldn't pull every broken card in the game at the time.

the bloom idea is kinda cool for druid, they should have a mechanic where a card has a multi turn effect that gets progressively more powerful, like a 4 man first turn summon a 2/2 at the start of each turn increased by 1/2 for each consecutive turn for 3 turns

I like the idea of Dormant Seeds for druid. You think of the field as soil and you play seeds that are dormant for various turns and then grow to give you effects. Some could be spells that buff, some can bloom into minions. Maybe you even have a legendary that doubles the values of seeds on the field when they bloom, some kind of nature spirit or something that fertilizes the soil. Could have minions that when they die have a deathrattle that enhances the next seed that blooms.

I think the choose one/next turn mechanic could be really interesting for druid if the choice is hidden. It'd be like a mini-secret, like if the choice was "Choose one (hidden): Summon an 8/8 treant with taunt or deal 4 damage to all enemy minions at the start of your next turn"

This is such a good idea, you should consider making a couple cards and posting them to custom hearthstone subreddit. They could even be full secrets, with all the themes that other secrets have. The question mark icon could be light green, and the mana costs could all be the same, but potentially it could be like 4 or 5, which we've never had such expensive secrets before. It would be really interesting if as a class, all druid secrets had choose one, or only activated at the start of your next turn, or both. I think it could fit druid's theme really well. There's also a really cool flavor idea of planting seeds, and the opponent seeing you plant them but having no idea what type of plant it will grow into, while you, being in touch with nature know what type of seed it is and what it will grow into

Freeze mage is great in concept. Its just to easy to board freezer turn sfter turn. Need more single or random fltarger freezes rather than board freezes.

Ignos seems like it's too strong to be honest, I think needing an even deck is a bigger restriction than just having fire spells / no spells. It's way better to draw than Genn too, and if the mage draws / generates wildfire early you're basically screwed.

Genn wasn't used in mage tho, mage hero power isn't that good to have at 1 mana. Losing most of your stall spells is a big cost for that deck.

Babbling book, Sivara, Ethereal conjurer, Kalecgos, and Spellcoiler are the only spell generating cards this version of deck could play so it does get slowed down. Can it highroll? Sure, but I'm not certain the highroll is fast enough and lethal enough to matter.

Bookburner seems to be a reference to Rakdos Charm from MtG, and that may also explain why it's been jammed in Warlock. Scared is also just a jank reworking of the old Fear keyword from MtG, only much worse becaue you have to scare enemies rather than having your minions strike fear into multiple and even new enemy minions as the game goes on.

I think you missed how Scared would interact with a big taunt. In HS if for some reason you can't target a minion with taunt for an attack, you're free to ignore it completely. So having a huge taunt against a board full of small scared minions would just result in all of them going face. For reference, see immune+taunt, stealth+taunt or taunted hero + "can't attack heroes".

@@deejaydee1578 what do you mean, I literally included examples for both cases. If you have a taunted hero (see Curator in One Night in Karazhan) and his opponent has a minion that can't attack heroes (for example Icehowl), that minion can freely attack the minions and ignore the taunted hero. Because as I said - when something physically prevents you from targetting the taunt, you're able to ignore it. Every single mechanic linked to this has been consistent so far.

Love this video. I think a potential way to balance the Hero Power destroy/replacers would be to give the card a check to see if you have no hero power. Ie Battlecry: If you have no hero power, it becomes “DIE, INSECT!”

Honestly I thought the book burner's effect, based on the wording, is like an immolate effect, where every time a card that got hit by the book burner effect gets marked, and when any one of the marked cards are played, it deals 1 damage

If the only way in which Rag is broken if you discover/randomly generate it, you can fix it by making the battlecry start with "If you have no Hero Power." You could also play with something like making it an 8/8/8 -- "Battlecry: Deal 8 damage to a random enemy minion. If it dies, your hero power becomes "Die, Insect!" which makes it a little more situational and harder to set up. If you wanted to be evil/even more high variance, remove the word "minion" but that might mean you never get a hero power. I guess there are also finley shenanigans to get around it.
