Yeh I think this is a survey of serious scooter users happy to pay in general $1000 upwards for one. Amazing a xiaomi, Zero or etwow GT isn’t on here. Maybe they just get bought by most but they don’t rate them too high 🤷♀️ 95% of scooters I see in the Uk are xiaomi’s, only ever seen one emove cruiser, two ninebot max. Think budget scooters don’t get a look in here but the zero scooters not being on here is interesting. Next year it be interesting to see if the vsett models and the Apollo ghost and phantom make an appearance!

I need a recommendation for a first time eScooter buyer/rider. I don’t want a hundred pound machine, nor one in excess of two grand. What I do want is a top speed over 30, a weight under 75lbs, preferably, as much range as feasible, dual motors, tires and a suspension system that can handle light off-pavement trails, hopping off curbs, bumpy sidewalks, with excellent braking and overall stability while riding (zero wobble or shimmy). I don’t plan on riding in the rain so, while a high IP water-resistance rating isn’t at the top of my specs list, it’s still important enough for the scooter to not suffer damage or failure from encountering wet surfaces. Also, a thumb lever accelerator would be nice, but I suppose a finger throttle is acceptable. Additionally, easy maintenance for a beginner is ideal. I’ve ridden skateboards growing up and occasionally ride a hybrid-style (non-electric) road bike. I’m 50 years old, weight is 177 and I’m 6’ tall. I’m not super athletic, somewhat disabled, I no longer drive automobiles and this scooter investment would be primarily for leisure and casual exploring around my hometown but I do NOT want a bare-bones, stripped-down, featureless scooter, nor can I afford the most expensive model. I’ve considered the Apollo Ghost but a few other models are starting to make me reconsider the Ghost. Any tips?! Please and thank you!!

Hey Keith, the original test on the Wolf was 90% single motor mode, as at the time, 1+ years ago, that would have been the way I'd actually ride it. When we got the King a couple months ago, I rode it in dual-motor mode (as I can now handle more speed/acceleration) -- making it seem to everyone that the King had way less range than the Warrior, which is not really true. What about the nanrobot D6+? 40 miles and 40 mph, dual suspension, disk brakes for 1669 ?
@joshrichmond46433 жыл бұрын
Does nobody like the nanrobot series? I wanna get the older nanrobot d4+ and the stats on this thing is better than almost everything on this list.
@xcavata3 жыл бұрын
I have the D6+ and that compares to the Mantis or a zero 10X. Personally, I love it. It has turn signals, 1000W dual motors, 40mph top speed, and a nice big deck. However, I wish the brakes could be tuned to be a bit less jerky, but that could be just a setting change

@Loqque3 жыл бұрын
wolf king is apparently faulty with multiple reports of front wheel just breaking up and flying off the scooter (very dangerous), while wolf warrior is super sturdy and proven. if I was buying one now, i wouuld still get a warrior, until king has it's fault resolved.
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide3 жыл бұрын
One of the failures was King, one was Warrior. Kaabo is actively working on sorting this out. So far it has been very few units out of thousands and thousands delivered. In the mean time I still feel comfortable riding both our King and Warrior myself. But do always wear protective gear no matter what you ride. -Paul

Curious if you can assist me. I would like to purchase a scooter, and I have a list of requirements. Can't find one that fits the bill. I want the following: lightweight or able to pull on a wheel (like a suitcase), detachable battery, bright headlights, cruise control, able to hit at least 16mph, 20 mile minimum range, and if possible, an attached lock. Thanks.

I have used Mercane Widewheel Pro for 1.5years now. The problem with this scooter is the quality of those wheels. They very easy bend and crack due to the thin alloy they use. With the alloy rims bent, its a rough ride and doesn't give you the confidence you need, especially while turning. I wish there was an easy way to replace the rims to a better quality one, but afaik, there is none. I do not recommend any one to buy the scooter, for this reason alone. Edit: Also the brakes are horrible to adjust after some usage and very low quality.

This survey will be heavily American focussed. The Apollo range is not even available in most other parts of the world. Inokim is new to the US market I believe so probably not many in use. The OX and OXO are exceptional scooters. Ride quality second to none. Very easy tyre change. Outstanding build quality - I'm not saying they are perfect, no scooter is. I'm just highlighting the fact that the survey doesn't represent the global scooter community.
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Leon! We did our best to send the survey to everyone in our community, and we agree, the OX and OXO are amazing scooters -- but not yet very popular globally. They're also out of the price range of many buyers so although amazing quality, aren't getting the attention/hype they deserve. Paul loved changing the tire on the OXO because it was very easy (single swingarm FTW!). Thanks again for watching! - Trina
