As a reference, 36 km/hr (the approximate speed that some of these clips were) = a 20-second 200 m dash which is the absolute fastest for D1 track. however, these guys are running on grass, playing for 90 minutes, covering about 9 miles a game, worried about rivals' tackles, focusing on what to do with the ball when they get it etc. Being the fastest, isn't everything but if you can be the fastest and also skillful, you're one of a kind. Usain Bolt tried to play professionally but he was only able to get an extremely short-term contract in Australia (not amongst the top 30 best leagues in the world) for marketing purposes even though he wasn't that bad, speed is only one aspect that makes you a top player.

@@Baldee999 they most definitely would not with there horrible technique. Running the 100 meters is not all about speed. Majority of it is technical. I can’t imagine how awful they would be off the blocks, let alone their form. Also, these soccer players would most likely hold there top speed for maybe 1-2 seconds. After that they’ll gas out. Bale, who’s one of the fastest soccer players off all-time ran a 11.5 at 15. Fast, but nowhere near breaking 11.00.
