Fun reaction and these singers are all amazing...I hate to pick a favorite because everyone's tastes are different. What I did like is to hear a couple of these artists for the first time and will add them in my list to watch for in the future. Keep up the good work and honest comments.

Yes, Lea Salonga loves that song Defying gravity. She masters it on Broadway. She knows it by heart that she even knows when or on what part of the song you need to breathe. 😊

Alisah Bonaobra was first runner-up behind Jason Dy on The Voice Philippines: Season 2. The song she sang is Defying Gravity from the Broadway musical "Wicked", and it's not from a Disney movie, Frozen. The musical is based on The Wizard of Oz. The song is originally sung by Idina Menzel (the voice of Elsa from Frozen films) and Kristen Chenoweth.

Joining the discussion. 🙂 As far as singing competition goes, the PH won a few grand prix choral competitions in the past. I realize choral singing is not as sexy as commercial solo or band singers. So these choral groups do not get enough credit or exposure or mention. But the truth is the PH had sent choral groups to prestigious international competitions & had stringed top prizes. You can search for them online, too many to list. In addition, the songs many groups from different countries sing are of Filipino origin, from traditional folk songs to contemporary ballads. These songs are arranged well enough to be competition-grade & winning pieces, like the funny Da Coconut Song, the light-hearted Rosas Panda & the serious Bayan Ko. Thanks!

You may want to check out these talented singers, with Filipino parent/s who actually won. Marlisa Ann Punzalan was born on 1 October 1999 in Sydney to Lito and Andrea Punzalan. Her parents emigrated to Australia from the Philippines before she and her older brother Martin were born. Punzalan lives at Gledenning, Sydney. She won the sixth season of The X Factor Australia in 2014, aged 15, and was the youngest contestant to have won the show. Cyrus Villanueva is of paternal Filipino and maternal Australian descent and comes from a musical family; his father is a retired professional entertainer. His father, Isagani Villanueva, is from Cotabato City, Philippines, and his mother, Tracie Villanueva, is Australian. He is best known for winning the seventh season of The X Factor Australia in 2015. Lukas Janisch, the 13-year-old half-Filipino contestant, won the grand finals of The Voice Kids Germany 2016. As a child, he learned to sing from his Filipino mother who loved karaoke. Resciebelle "Bella" Barrios Santiago (born 1 December 1989) is a Filipino singer. Santiago first received recognition in Romania in 2016, after becoming a finalist on season six of Românii au Talent, Romania's version of Got Talent. She later received widespread attention after winning season eight of X Factor Romania in 2018. Thanks for your support of Filipino talents. Have a great day! 🙂
