Pilchards are fish candy, but as they are a soft white bait, keeping them on the hook can be tough. Here are the best ways to rig them as well as a hot tip to keep them on the hook.

Hey Steve, any pointers on catching the bigger pilchards? Finding a tom of smaller ones, cant seem to find the 3-4" ones. Fishing the Largo sound area.

What size (squares / holes) do you recommend, and how many pounds of lead per foot? My current neet doesn't seem to sink fast enough and I miss a lot of bait. Thanks
