I'm impressed with Mortal Kombat's frequent ascended glitches. The framework was laid from the get-go; a lot of the characters were color swaps of each other, as such rumors of new colored versions of characters were bound to pop up. Specifically Ermac and Scarlet. Ermac stood for "Error Macros", but the uninformed were led to believe it was a red version of Scorpion/Subzero/Reptile's character model. Eventually Ermac would become a fully realized character. Scarlet took a bit longer; she was a rumored red version of Jade/Mileena/Kitana's character model. She would come to be as a DLC character for Mortal Kombat 9. It's worth noting that red was the color the motion captured actors wore. These rumored characters were so frequent that the developers deliberately teased nonexistent characters to get people talking. Rain was a purple ninja teased in an early Mortal Kombat arcade game's attract mode. He wasn't actually in the game but in a pre-internet driven world, people would go crazy over stuff like that. Brilliant marketing tactic.

But, those weren't really glitches. Ermac comes close but...Well look at the first entry on this list. The Spy was created because a glitch in a Counter Strike mod lead to a new way of playing the game. Ermac was an accidental pallet swap that inspired a new character. It not really the same thing.

I think I have an example of a glitch that was made into a feature in subsequent games. In Halo 3 with the addition of Forge, there was a glitch where you could basically "fuse" two things together by pausing the game and restarting the round after editing the spawn options of an object. In Halo Reach and beyond, they realized that and gave you the option to do that without going through all those additional steps. It's been a long time since I played Halo 3, but I remember doing that all the time for bridges and containers.

How about Top 5 Video Game Segments Inspired By Real Life Events? San Andreas gets me somewhere. In the last couple of story missions in the game, something involved Frank Tenpenny causing everybody in Los Santos to riot (forgot the reason). And every citizen doesn't stop rioting until you complete the mission "End Of The Line" where CJ kills Big Smoke and he and Sweet chases after Tenpenny in a high speed chase, with Tenpenny dieing in a car accident. If you think about it, the riots have quite a lot of similarities to the Los Angeles Riots. Where police officers were caught on tape beating the shit out of Rodney King, and after a short little trail, the police responsible weren't found guilty (I think). And after the trail, the LA community was pissed. And almost every citizen in LA caused destruction on their own city for FIVE STRAIGHT DAYS! There's two ironic things about this. One is that Los Santos is basically GTA's version of Los Angeles. And the other is that the entirety of San Andreas takes place in 1992, the same year the LA riots will occur.

Toni Leaf Games that are good for beginners change based on the genre you want to get into. Seeing as how you mentioned Undertale, I'm guessing you're interested in story based RPGs. Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest was actually designed for beginners to the genre. It's story isn't as good as Undertale's, but the combat is simple, and less stressful due to being completely turn based. Another fun option, if you're more interested in action RPGs, is Stardew Valley. It's kind of a farming simulator, but there is occasional combat. It's a good game for improving basic gaming skills, and the environment is, for the most part, stress free, though there can definitely be scary situations in the mines. I would be interested in seeing a list about games for beginners. My sister and my mom both like the concept of video games, but they always freak out when an enemy shows up in Zelda or Mario. It would be cool to learn of more good options for them.

I only mentioned Undertale, as it's really the only real videogame I've ever played so far, and it seems I suck at moving around in a hurried manner, which caused me a lot of pain trying to play Ball Game, and screwed me over multiple times whenever something was chasing me! Ubersrtike(Paintball Paradise) - A lesser known FPS game that are popular due to its glitch of "quick switching". It is the feature that made it stands out to all other fps. One problem though, because it is a glitch so developers decided to fix it after 8 years of glitch existing since launch. As a result, the game died within a week after the patch with no reversal. Strafe jumping woud've been a way better choice. It has been a staple of Quake since to the point that nowadays the devs just try to cap the speed instead of removing the mechanics. A lot of other competitive shooters ended up having the same technique like CSGO or TF2.

Was just recently playing "Round 42" which is a very similar game to Space Invaders that I have fond childhood memories of, and it absolutely makes use of exactly the same feature. You can clearly see that it's (deliberately) left up to the diminishing amount of processing clog in order to make the sprites move faster as you clear the screen of them.

When Lucian (a dual-pistol marksman) came out in LoL, his glitched passive (which makes his basic attack shoot a weaker shot from one of his pistols after using a skill) would target another enemy if his basic attack killed an enemy before the weaker shot would register. The players liked the idea, so Riot Games adjusted it to make it an essential part of his kit (think of it as Gun-Fu).

Jump Install (JI) is a technique that bypasses this limitation, enabling all air options after these circumstances. The basic way to Jump Install is: Perform an attack that is Jump Cancelable. Press up, then press another attack before becoming airborne, continue combo. Later in the combo, become airborne via super jumping or via a special move like Chipp's 22H teleport. You now have access to all air options.

Diablo 2's Blood Golem+Iron Maiden combo wasn't meant to heal the golem with the enemy's self-damage, but they kept it, and it was officially embraced in Blizzard's strategy guides. Ditto, Concentration boosting Blessed Hammer, which was first ignored, then nerfed, then brought back even stronger. The entire Hammerdin build was based on an ascended bug.

Good list. When I saw this video the one that came to mind was the Sims enlarge object glitch. Fans liked it so much, the devs kept it and, recently, added to the Sims 4 the ability to reduce the size of objects as well.
