Top Five Mercy Options that are Worse than Killing. Those "nonviolent" options that make the violence look peachy. Some of my favorites include all the mercy options in Dishonored (like getting a cult leader excommunicated from his own religion and dooming him to catch the plague, and handing a noblewoman to a stalker who promises you no one will ever see her alive again), and trapping Father Elijah in Dead Money. There's one in an otome called Steam Prison where if you spare your friend/ex-police(basically) partner who's been tortured and broken in to a willing killer shell of himself and spare him, he at the end of the game, where the good end normally'd play if you killed him, will cut down your partner that helped you get to the good end, and basically implied to have shackled and probably raped the MC. Who would've thought romantic visual novels aimed towards women could be that fucked? Turns out, freakin' plenty but still.

the berzerk one is actually easily explained: two people died. stories say three, but Jeff Dailey was made up. he lived in virginia, nowhere near any berzerk machine. one person got into a fight at the arcade and was later murdered after leaving the arcade. the other person did die of a heart attack, but he was showing signs of it before and playing berzerk, with him being exhausted after walking a very long distance through the snow. the youtuber nexpo made a video in it, if you're interested in hearing the full story.

Apparently, Otto is based on a former boss of the developer. He was apparently a absolute asshole that liked to reprimand employees just to fill time, and always did it with a shit eating grin on his face

@@GODOFAWSOMENESS1 The reason why the devil theory is reinforced among the fandom is because RDR2 introduced new hints towards this figure that alludes to him making some sort of insidious deal with a certain NPC, as well as having this mysterious hut located nearby the snake infested bayou area. Still, I'm still more partial to the angel of death idea, given the scenes in RDR1. Maybe he's just a mischievous one that makes shady deals here and there, I dunno. Others say he's God based on how he responds with "Many have," after John says "Damn you!" to him. However, this is dubious, since it hinges on a person not really understanding English properly, since when a person says "Damn you," or "God damn you," it's wishing for someone to be damned by God himself, rather than an insult directed to God himself (unless you went "Damn you, God!" lol). As such, it's very unlikely to be god, especially with how RDR2 goes about building on his mystique.

Calc was frustrating but doable. Like any math. Once you know the rules you can solve the puzzles. My wife had a pre-calc teacher that put a problem on her test that was straight up calc or calc 2 level math and no one got it right or even came close and when they asked about it in class after everyone got that one wrong the teacher couldn't even do the problem but it still affected everyone's grade because she was a total knob. My pre-calc teacher did something similar, he put a vector problem as a 'bonus' question and I only got a bit of the basic steps done for a partial credit. I'd never done vectors, he never taught vectors (duh it was pre-calc) and it didn't count towards our grade as a negative, if we worked on it he gave us bonus points only. My wife lucked out in calc 1 or calc 2 I can't remember, she was allowed to take a single sheet of paper with notes on both sides in for the test. One of the problems in the book was vexing her so she copied the whole problem onto her piece of paper and the answer. He put the entire problem on the final directly from the book.

@@Xetelian The teacher who took points off for a problem nobody could do, because they hadn't taught it and it could not be expected in any reasonable fashion that the students had seen it, deserves at least a stern talking to. They say that if >50% of students get one problem wrong, something is wrong with the problem, not the students. I actually did see vectors in pre-Calc, though! It was a fairly simple first look (vector addition, subtraction, and scalar multiplication mostly), but there really isn't anything about vectors that means you *can't* teach them early. Some operations require Calculus but the same goes for trigonometry and the natural log - there's no issue seeing what those are and then seeing how Calculus works on those later. Anyway, the third teacher should probably not have stolen questions that brazenly... for exactly that reason. Heh.

Basically they became cancelled and almost entirely of alien themed DLC became Doomsday Heist DLC, while parts of zombie DLC were used in recent Arena Wars Update.

I'm surprised Stop n Swop isn't on here. What I'm not surprised isn't here is Cog Nation and the Chairman from Toontown Online. For context, Toontown would constantly allude to this location known as Cog Nation, apparently being the secret base of the game's villains where you could fight the final boss, The Chairman. You'd see the name of the place on shipping crates in places like Cashbot HQ, there were these weird manholes in every Cog HQ that people thought could have something to do with it, The Chairman would apparently send out documents and the Bossbot CEO, the then final boss would mention him by name, but Toontown Online would shut down in 2013 with no answer to this given. Luckily a myriad of fan projects have risen to try and give answers, some of which are approved by the old developers themselves, but whatever Disney had originally planned for this, we'll likely never know. In any case, it serves to make the Chairman an ever more elusive and scary villain. A seemingly untouchable force pulling the strings. He's like the gaming equivalent of the Boogeyman in a way. You hear his name and see his influence everywhere, but you'll never see him face to face.

An explanation on the "L is real" thing: The statue in the courtyard doesn't say "L is real", that's what people _think_ it says, at least, back then. This was back in the day where most people didn't have internet, and *most certainly* didn't have the tools to look into a game. People just thought it was weird that Luigi wasn't in the game, so they thought he was some obscure unlockable. See also: The triforce in Ocarina of Time and Bill's garden in Pokemon Red & Blue.

With Zipper the bunny, I think what they might have been alluding to is the creepy mall Easter bunnies that you can go an get photos with. The thing is that this Mystery is not unsolved It's actually mentioned in Phoebe's character background that she had a little sister that ended up dying, considering that Phoebe is the ghost elite 4 member, and the ghost that appears there is a little girl, I guess we can all assume who she is

The ghost doesn't appear at the Pokémon League, but at Mt. Pyre, where Phoebe is said to have trained her Pokémon; and even if it's said that her sister died, it's unclear if the ghost girl at Mt. Pyre is the Phoebe's sister, or the same ghost girl that appears in Lumiose City. Either way, we don't exactly know who the girl is waiting for.

There's no way in hell this thing destroys your game, either, because that part of the story is literally impossible. Software can't get bricked, only hardware. Saint's Row 2 is either downloaded, or on a DVD. Worst case for the former, you delete the cache and redownload. The latter, there is zero way for that data to be changed, unless a ghost literally scratches up the disc on you.

I think some mascot costumes at Disney parks are articulated so that the mouths can actually move if the character is "talking" during a show, which could partly explain Zipper T. Bunny... But that would bring up even more questions, such as "Why would this sleepy little town have such a costume that they only use one day a year?" and "Why would such an advanced costume have a huge, obvious zipper on the back?" and still doesn't explain who/what is behind the mask. He's (assuming it is a guy- which is probable bc he has the voice of a 'Lazy' villager in New Leaf) also repeatedly denied his appearance being a costume, despite the evidence to the contrary. Although, when you think about it, even that could make some sense. We've got some villagers with some pretty wild appearances. Zucker (Looks like takoyaki), Patches (teddy bear), and Julian (unicorn) come to mind, and they're (presumably) not wearing costumes. So... maybe that really is just how the dude looks?? And that's my contribution to the world of Animal Crossing theories, I guess.

I am so confused how it breaks the software on a disc. As far as I know the Xbox 360 doesn't have the ability to write, it only reads discs. I really need to try to replicate this glitch.

IIRC the Pokemon Ghost Girl was actually solved (as I think somebody datamined it), it required a VERY specific version/copy of the game to be played, which resulted in the player receiving a special item. So unless you were the luckiest person on the planet, it would just have been a massive creep factor.

For the Strange Man in RDR 1, you should’ve talked about the disease infected Armadillo in RDR 2. The shopkeeper of the town is the only survivor, and he has a picture of the Strange Man in his shop. There’s also a stranger that thinks the plague comes from that Strange Man. Also, there’s a shack located somewhere in the game (idk) where looking into the mirror will cause the Strange man to spawn behind you in the reflection.

Far as the strange man goes, I am a fan of the theory that the strange man is the grim reaper looking to judge John before he is eventually killed. Cause the quest chain ends right near where John would eventually be buried and the fact that he gives you missions that you can finish one of two ways seems to give a hint that he is testing John to see exactly what afterlife awaits him.

Maybe Zipper T.'s costume is just advanced enough to have the jaw thing (which apparently isn't that complex?) but not advanced enough to make the zipper hidden. Or maybe the costume designer thought keeping the zipper extremely obvious would be funny? :P

The Mount Chilliad mystery was solved in the GTA Online DLC, The Doomsday Heist. Inside the mountain, there's a military bunker in which the main villain of the DLC takes over and controls with his rogue AI. You use the jetpacks at the end of the DLC to kill him.

There is a picture of the Strange Man in RDR2 in the Armadillo store and there is also a hut found in a swamp with a painting that gets more detail the higher your completion percentage is. When you reach 100%, it is a painting of the Strange Man and if you look in the mirror in the same hut, you can see the reflection of a him behind you at the door.

@0:40 The working theory is that Sony forced the development team to rush (relative to their skill and resources) because Nintendo's success with the NES Classic (possibly even the SNES Classic by this time) showed there was money to be had. No hard evidence, but the product we received makes a *lot* more sense if it was still a work-in-progress... or at least just the initial version, if Sony was thinking about releasing *multiple* iterations of the PlayStation Classic based on just the PSOne.

I still enjoy mine. There's some true classics on it. But yeah, the largely sins of omission (where tf is FFVIII or Tomb Raider?! RE2? No Bust-a-Move games?) seem to be from a rushed release. Unless Sony really is that proud of the lesser games on it and mad they never got any attention, but I doubt that. They probably just needed 20 games and only had time to properly emulate 13 or so big ones, so they grabbed a bunch of lesser, quick ones, did the emulation, and shoved them on there to fill out the 20 game roster

The terror behind Luminose City’s ghost girl wasn’t even just that the game never explained it - back when these games first came out, i couldn’t find any reference of the event online. It was as if i was the only one who saw it and that made it a whole new level of spooky. It’s certainly still a fun mystery but now that i see talk about it, the sense of genuine terror i felt is gone.
