My EDC rotates between 3 revolvers, mostly depending on the time of the year. For all the reasons you stated, but perhaps the most significant is the potential for an encounter that finds you in a "hands-on" situation before you recognize the threat or perform a proper draw. What a lot of people fail to realize, is that regardless of emphasizing "situational awareness"... it is just a cold hard fact that the bad guy gets to "prep-up" and CHOOSE the time and place, every time. In that context, I'd much rather be fighting for my life with a revolver that will not go out of battery and does not require a perfect stance/grip to continue to function properly round after round.

So many great points, I’ve always preferred carrying a revolver over an auto loader for the ease of use. If the primer doesn’t fire on the first trigger pull, you just pull the trigger again versus an auto loader having to rack the slide. Also, if you need 15 rounds in a civilian self defense situation hopefully there is more than one person, every round you let loose you’re accountable for. Panic is real, if you let 5 rounds go vs 15, there is a lot less potential for bad things to happen to others around the incident. Great content!

Revolvers are not ammo sensitive. In addition, depending on the caliber, you have a choice of different ammo (32 short, long, h&r mag, 327 mag .... 38 long, 38 special, 357....44 special, 44 mag) from the same gun. Cheap 38 special or low recoil cowboy loads for the range and 38 special wad cutters or 357 hollow points for carry. In addition to shooting from clothing, you can shoot from inside a purse or bag without failure to feed, failure to eject, or knocking the firearm out of battery. Snubs are small and light. Carry two if capacity is an issue. I carry 2 6 shot with lasers (and speedstrips). Same model, same manual of arms. Pull and shoot. Failure to fire, pull the trigger again.Out of ammo, pull backup and shoot. Mechanical failures, pull backup and shoot. Streamlined response under high stress.

Rack the slide to reset/cock the single action striker auto pistol or SAO single action only hammer auto pistol for dry fire unless the auto is a DA/SA hammer fired auto or a Taurus G series restrike striker auto or a DAO double action only auto. But still good dry fire point with the revolver.

I carried a 357 for 15 years. To this day, it's still one of my favorite guns. Never had an issue. Plus, 38 cal ammo was cheap! I even bought 44 Super Blackhawk before any 9mm. Glock clone just felt wrong in my hand until i tried a Beretta. I've been told to try a Taurus 9mm. The grip of a Revolver was what i shot for over 20 years. Yes, im 😂 old, lol. You've shown real reasons to expand your horizons. Feel the force young one! Also, keep it in your pants more often, or you'll start shooting blanks 😂 yes we read what oters write.

Very nice gun, convenience trumps most aspects to me when picked a EDC, if it’s convenient you will carry it more often than you would if it wasn’t, and a firearm only does you any good if you have it!

Don't dryfire Charter Arms revolvers. I had one I did that to about 10 times and the transfer bar broke off and fell out. The factory fixed it, but I sold it quick. Most rimfires will deform the hammer. I tell first time buyers to make a choice: if they are putting the gun in a drawer for years and years and want it to work once down the road, get a revolver. If they plan to train with it often and carry it daily, get a semi auto. Revolvers dont tend to do well under constant use, autos dont sit in drawers loaded for decades very well. I carry a .357 SW scandium 11 OZ cannon daily. It is the ultimate carry gun and the worst possible one to shoot. I can hit a 4 inch circle at 15 yards. I have only fired it exactly 3 times ever as it kicks much worse than a 454 casull and costs more than twice most autos.

👍👍👍👍😎 Wheel love. Great video. You earned that like. I prefer my revolver over my autos. You just hit all the main points other than accuracy is more important than capacity and no one will get through a mag or cylinder let alone have time to reload in a five second gunfight. That is the reality and we have folks that are out of touch with that reality playing action hero video games, or are military or LEOs. We are civilians not going to war or going to a gangland drug bust or some action movie hero. We should not be but we will be prosecuted for defending our lives and the more responsible and serious we are in the eyes of the jury the better. Great line. "A guaranteed five rather than a guaranteed one and a possible 14."

I have cut back on cursing allot, it seems to be something I do on camera more than i do in real life, pretty sure it’s a nervous reaction lol. The two times I cursed in this video though I feel drove the point a little bit. I most likely will never quite cursing entirely in my videos I understand allot of gun people are Christians and though I would also consider my self one I am no where near strict conservative Christian. I also wouldn’t consider my content kids friendly either, I mean the majority of my video I’m talking about shooting another human in self defense. I personally wouldn’t worry about it with my kid cause this is the kinda content I watched when I was very young but if they can handle the idea of shooting someone in self defense I’m sure a little word wouldn’t hurt them. I appreciate the suggestion though and I appreciate the view, I hope you enjoyed the video besides the profanity.
