Your wife makes a lot of valid points. As we all know, not every statue is everyones cup of tea. I just got my Hush Poison Ivy and absolutely love it. I like the fact the vine is so big. It frames her so nicely in my eyes. I do agree that Ivy's hair is a little off but not a deal breaker to me. That Joker busts teeth look just like my teeth. Does that make me creepy?😁.

I think she just didn't get the concept. It's the kind of thing that only people who know the character would understand. Statue art is very subjective, it will speak the most to people that already have the understanding. It's interesting to hear a non-collector's take, because it helps me understand why I feel blah when I see certain pieces that people love. Those pieces aren't bad, I just don't have the understanding to appreciate it the same.

I agree with number 1, i couldn't have that in my house. Put it like this, it's art that's great for people who appreciate horror or intense pieces. But if it's not your thing, it's not great at all. I can see past the horror and appreciate the artistry. I'd like to actually see which ones she likes. Maybe you can find something that she loves and add to the collection, not to pull her into collecting, but to give her something to really appreciate when she comes into the space.
