I tried the Vital Proteins powder, and it was okay. I then saw a video by the Budget Dermatologist who recommended Sparkle Wellness because it’s the only one with a certain type of collagen. I tried and it’s so much better that VP - you only need 2 teaspoons vs. 4 for VP. Also, the Sparkle powder will completely dissolve whereas the VP always ends up at the bottom of my glass. The açaí lemonade flavor is great!

Sarah! I highly recommend fairlife milk for protein. It’s lactose free and low in sugar while being packed with protein and tasting like regular milk as opposed to skim.

A cooking video could be fun! Maybe it could be part of your live series on Fridays? While you’re waiting for things to cook you could chat about articles and skincare 😊. Thanks for another fun video!

I love this idea- will have to do this- I've had fun working on some nice recipes that are calorie friendly. My dad is the toughest judge of food so if he likes something I know it's gotta be good!

I put pumpkin seeds in my salads and bowls and they are good. Gives it a nice round crunch. And they are a good source of Magnesium as well

Hi Sarah, I drink the Equate High Protein Shakes ( vanilla). I was buying Boost, but too expensive and I must say I like the Equate brand so much better. 30 gm of protein. 😊

I'm going to have to check those out next time I'm at the store. I want to get all the protein I possibly can. Years ago (about 15) I used to have to drink Boost for all my nutrition and calories when I was going through a stomach disorder- just seeing the brand name reminds me of those times and just how bad it was not being able to eat anything other than Boost shakes. But trying to consume all this protein has me debating trying it again.

@ I’m so sorry you have had Tummy issues. I Have Ulcerative Colitis and it’s no fun. I’ve been drinking “ High Protein Boost” ( I can only handle Very Vanilla) 🤷🏼♀️. The strawberry is soo artifially flavored and the Chocolate goes right thru me. ( tmi). It’s so expensive for 15 bottle $25.00. So I tried the Equate High Protein in Vanilla 30 gm of protein 24 bottles for 34.00. I liked Boost, but I like the Equate so much better. Not as thick I think. I’ve always been on a High Protein; a low Fat diet. I hope you like them. It’s a great way to get protein in us and all the extra vitamins.

I got some protein shakes and unflavored collagen powder and I’ve been mixing half the chocolate shake with half a scoop of collagen. And drink that earlier in the day and then drink the other half of each mixed together right before bed. And I actually slept super good the first two nights I tried it so I’m going to keep it up. I feel like I have more energy during the day. Maybe I was malnourished before?!

I prefer to use real foods instead of supplements: bone broth for collagen and minerals, beef liver and egg yolks as natural multivitamins, red meat for protein, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants (carnosine and Q10), oily fish for omega-3, fermented dairy for protein, calcium and probiotics.

I'm impressed- certainly getting this nutrition from real food is much more ideal than taking a supplement.
