That "Best day of my life" at the end actually brought a tear to my eye. So glad this guy got to EXPERIENCE (because that's what it is) this in his life. You just can't adequately describe what the experience is like to people. Yeah, it's loud but that's only part of it. You can really FEEL the concussions from the engines as they rip on by. And if you're lucky enough to have pit passes* when they're tuning those things you'll REALLY get to feel the potato sack being slammed into your chest when they blip the throttle. Oh, and you'll find little pieces of rubber stuck to your face when you look in the mirror later on. * I HIGHLY recommend ear and eye protection. Ears for the noise and eye protection for the nitro-methane fumes which will make your eyes water, big time.

@zesolodar I started going when I was a kid in the 60s. Of course, they didn't have this kind of power. My uncle had a front engine dragster and raced at several tracks in Colorado. Later, in the 80s, I remember you could stand almost next to the track at Bandimeer Speedway west of Denver, CO. A car's blower belt or something broke, sending shrapnel everywhere. To a teenager....that was awesome!!!! And BOY....could you feel the cars. It made your bones want to rattle out of your skin. You had to remember not to inhale when they went by. It can get in your blood. I raced my muscle cars for about 10 yrs in club racing. My siblings still race. It is a great way to spend the weekend, get some blood pumping.

Like that first time you go to the Daytona truck race at night. You walk through the tunnel and up to the fence. Then you hat, hot dog, beer, glasses everything go flyin.

It was the most incredible thing, the first couple runs i was repelled uncontrollably like that guy, once if forced myself to watch it, it rattled my vision and my skeleton. Highly recommend to anybody that has not experienced it. :)

Now he’s a fan for life. Just like the first time you do a proper burnout with your 6yr old in the truck…..”hooked” 😎

You feel your ears tickle, your organs vibrate as the ground pounds when they pass in 3 seconds. I live close to US-131 sports park in Michigan, been going since I was a kid (now 70). Got to see big daddy don garletts, don the snake prudome, shirley muldowny, john force and all the legends. Watched the little red wagon wheel stand the entire length.

It’s something you have to experience in person! I highly recommend it. Glad he had fun.

That’s f-n great! I’m in tears for both his first reaction and for “the best day of my life” at the end

I dont search drags up much so seeing it from the crowds perspective for the first time really puts into perspective how quick these move. Its honestly beautiful.

I've never been to a drag race, but I've been to 4 by 4 unlimited class truck pulls. There's a point where you no longer hear these things. You feel it. They produce enough noise to shake the ground
