Top Gear Australia is premiering on Paramount+ today and there is one mystery that will never be solved... who is the stig? But we do know, for the first time, she is female.

Beau = Clarkson - JLP = Hammond - Moog - May. Just has to be said. Over the three episodes so far (please remember Top Gear didn't even have Hammond in the first season and took years to develop) I think there is a really good foundation for a proper decent Aussie car show. If the editors could just clip the voices sooner than the video as if it was real life it would look less robotic (and the presenters would benefit from this also) this will be a really good induction (lol car talk) into the new era of car based paid programming. Awesome so far and kudos to the presenters, you've done a great job and the future should be very bright.

Im keen to check this out, its rather funny that Moog id the one getting all the interviews and spotlight which is great and deserved. They used a female for the race driver on the grand tour. But its a first for top gear i guess.

Abby is awesome. But she's inherently not the Stig. Stig being a brand. Honestly though once they dropped the character of "The American" and just had Abby it felt the most right to me. She didn't have to share all of her thoughts and be a journalist, just drive fast as hell. Bringing her in for the occasional fast driver in a slow car longer form challenge still worked and it didn't matter if she wasn't as big a personality as the other 3. She did great. I hope she's either all recovered or recovering well and kicking butts out on track again. Or maybe she's female Stig 🤣

well good going.. not sure if they did they did the right thing.. it shouldn't be forced fun.. has to be spontaneous. The legendary trio of Jeremy, James and Richard worked well not because they were sexy looking, or because they forced themselves to laugh, they genuinely were forced yes and they showed their real emotions while cracking jokes.. some scripted and some not and you could see the difference. They weren't all that funny but the cinematography, narration of Jeremy's deep voice plus like the whole charisma and pretty landscapes and effects made for very nice eye candy and ear candy and candy.

Have watched a couple of episodes, it’s ok so far, but not great. Clarkson, Hammond and May had us in stitches, these guys just don’t seem to have that special something. The likes of maybe Grant Denyer put in the mix might have been a bit better. They need someone that is more naturally funny and not scared to say what they think, that was the magic of the other trio, they just were a good mix. I really like Blair a mix of Hammond and May. I will keep watching TGA and see how it goes.
