saw this for sale in Chicago, and it brought back memories of one of many dream bikes i wanted as a kid. It was in our motorcycle magazines in the states. Thought it had an awesome look, and I loved the driveshaft and one arm wheel mount.

After wright Brothers BMW motorcycle start making this style of engine it is called in line inclined style engine very few people know this

I never seen the old Top Gear since I'm in the US. I don't mind seeing the three brits they have on there now. Maybe they should have made a spinoff of the show, and keep the original platform. We have a show called "motorweek" which is on youtube, and it has pretty much stayed the same for the last 40 years.

Not a success in sales compared to the stodgy K100 RS. BMW wanted this to be a sports bike competitor but no serious sports bike rider even considered these over the comparatively sexy Japanese crotch rockets of the early nineties. A great bike technically but neither a real sports bike nor a tourer, and frankly a bit ugly.
