Movie is outstanding! Myles Teller knocked it out of the park in many ways. My take on this scene; Maverick looks in with pride, initially and then sadness. Penny " gets" Pete; so obvious. When she sees him looking in with a heavy heart, her face reveals what she knew.
@NikWinchester952 жыл бұрын
Of course she knew. Her dad was the captain when the accident happened. Even if her dad didn't tell her, it was probably the talk of all of Top Gun for awhile. Especially if they put in procedures to prevent something like that happening again.
@bilowitz2 жыл бұрын
@@NikWinchester95 I'm sure that Penny heard something. I am guessing that she had to be 17 to get Mav put into hack. What they hid from the accident assessment in 1986 is that the Jet Wash that caused the accident in the first place was caused by Iceman. Watch the movie again. Iceman and Maverick were 2 points apart from the Top Gun trophy. The scene is in the air; Maverick is cursing Iceman out for not letting him by and was on his tail when the Jet Wash occurred yielding the engine failure and uncontrollable spin. As far as Penny; she gets him. I think she knew that he couldn't commit.
