This is my absolute favorite scene of the entire movie. It really expresses Elvis in all of his glory. The power he had on stage, the command he had over an audience, and the effect he had on his fans plus how truly controversial he was and the way it was the spark that ignited a cultural revolution. It also used the song perfectly for Elvis being caught in the controversy, the way he didn't ask for it but wasn't going to back off, and in that moment he "picks" his fans, it really is perfect for a visual demonstration how the people wanting to start a "rumble" with Elvis had better not be alone because he has all of his fans who are not going to let you take him easily. So Baz did a perfect job with this scene, song, and the story of Elvis.

Reasons why Austin should get an Oscar: -He captured Elvis essence, watching the movie felt like watching actual Elvis, not an imitator -He had no singing experience yet he managed to deliver with those vocals on the movie and nailed that young Elvis sound -He went through an insane vocal training to sound just like Elvis and he did it so well -He read every Elvis book and studied every Elvis videos and interviews he could to give an authentic interpretation, now THAT'S DEDICATION -He managed to nail those iconic Elvis moves even tho he had no prior dancing experience -He learned Elvis' mannearisms for the movie -He gave the performance of his life, if the Academy doesn't give him an award then there is something wrong

Beautifully said! They couldn’t handle how much talent he had. The way he sings and moves is so beautiful that this world… we don’t know how to handle it. For the more religious among us, we might think we can’t enjoy that kind of beauty because we call it ‘temptation’. But that’s not it. Elvis moved like how he did when he was slain in the Spirit at church. Austin is a Christian too but he also got to have that gospel tent type of experience when he went to church with Baz in Nashville to get in touch with Elvis’ spirit. That drove a lot of the emotional core of his portrayal. I’ve heard him say “if I wasn’t feeling that feeling I had at that church, I knew I was off”. And that kept him going for 18 months?! This has to be one of my top favorite scenes in the movie!! Elvis was such a badass and Austin Butler really out did himself in this one i can't get enough of it!! its the literal the definition of an EPIC performance & that moment he gets up on his toes like that at 2:21 it made me squeal at home in my living room just like those girls! I can only imagine what it was like to see the real Elvis do it! but in that moment I understood why the girls were so crazy for him ...Elvis sure was one of a kind

you can top an elvis performance if you practice for 2 years to immitate him, record it with way better cameras and audio, a hundred different shot angles, police, mother, agent, drama, slow motion and even an orchestra playing in the background.

The actual concert at russwood was wild tbh, though he didn't sing trouble.

Wow....wasn't expecting to be as blown away by Austin Butler as I was...he captured the essence of Elvis without seeming like an impersonator or seeming fake. No wonder Lisa Marie ( RIP😪) and Priscilla Presley were so complimentary regarding this young man. He even did an amazing job playing the older Elvis ( some nail one or the other). He needs to win the Oscar this year.....
