Have you looked at Tangerine? I actually was looking into them for my mother, they have TFSA accounts with no fees giving 0.70% monthly compounded interest which is roughly 8.73% per year.

Sorry to give you bad news - but the .7 is the yearly non promo rate - it’s not .7% per month - if it was it would be the highest savings rate in North America

@@seolfor4797 I called them to discuss it with a rep, because I thought the same. The guy told me it is monthly rate paid monthly.🤷‍♂ I'll call to speak with someone else again today...bloody banks and their piteous services. Been 9 months trying to help my mom get transactions unblocked at National Bank, emails, calls, in-person visits to the branch and still not fixed. Gave them 10 days a month ago again nothing fixed. Called again yesterday and told them after they're telling me to go get my own card to access her acct, that's not the way to fix things, make the client do this and that, we even deleted her whole online profile and switched email address because they assigned her email to her late husband who passed last year in June, they won't un-associate the email! Fed up, almost worth going to media with this.
