Great episode about 1974 part 1. Aap ki research hamesha ki tarah best hai. Aapne har filmo ko bahoot hi khoobsurti se describe kiya. Great to see feroz khan's solo hero film finally in top 10. I think it was khote sikkay that truly gave him stardom as solo hero. He was indeed the clint eastwood of hindi cinema. Aur Dev Sahab ke baare me to kya kahu? Unki jitni taarif ki jaaye utni kum hai. It is so great to see dev sahab film still in top 10 even in 1974. What a legacy!! He indeed looked so young, handsome, energatic and never looked odd when romanced young heroines of 70s. He was indeed an evergreen hero. Only actor from 40s who gave younger heroes i.e. Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan, Feroz khan and Vinod Khanna a run for their money. WOW!!! Ab 2nd part ka besabri se intezaar rahega.....

बहुत ही शानदार एपिसोड.......राकेश जी ! 👌👌👌👌 आपके narration की जितनी भी तारीफ की जाए, कम है !! 👌👍 1974 की top 34, या यूं कह लें कि top 36 फिल्मों की बात आपने की....! कुछेक फिल्मों को छोड़ कर सभी फिल्में मैंने देखी हैं ! मगर "मजबूर" और "रोटी" जैसी फिल्मों का ranking में इतनी पीछे होना......??? हैरत है ! आपसे कुछ पूछना चाहता हूँ..... राजेश खन्ना की 'हमशक्ल', दिलीप कुमार की 'सगीना' सुनील दत्त और राजकुमार की '36 घंटे' और बलराज साहनी की award winning 'गर्म हवा' जैसी फिल्में क्या top 35 में भी exist नहीं करतीं ???? अभी top 5 का एपिसोड आना बाकी है, लेकिन इतना तो अंदाज़ा कोई भी लगा सकता है कि ये उस साल की top 5 फिल्मों में नहीं होंगी ! लेकिन क्या ये top 35 के भी लायक नहीं होंगी ???

Poore din mein Dev sahab ek roti khaate they.. thodi sabzi ya daal..kuchh dry fruits..kuchh fruits..raat ko 8 ya 9 bje ek glass garam paani fix tha...yeh mujhe dhyan hain unke kisi khaas ne bataya tha 👍

From the DDR trio, Dev Sahab had truly surpassed both Dilip Kumar sahab and Raj Kapoor sahab in stardom and popularity as we can see from this episode. With all due respect to the other 2 who were legends in their own terms but in 70s dilip kumar had no hits except for Gopi and ditto for Raj Kapoor who had switched to character roles and no solo hero hits to his credit. He succeeded as director and producer though but not as a lead hero. But Dev Sahab was just something else.

I don't get one thing though, why was Vinod Khanna described as supporting actor in haath ki safai? Wasn't it a multistarrer film? He played elder brother's role and had his own song too with Simi Garewal. And if he was why did he agree to play supporting role to Randhir Kapoor when he was a senior and more popular than him? It was also not fair to give randhir Kapoor a top billing because VK was his senior.

It was regular practice of Film industry intentionally creating seperate job titles for actors playing equal and even better roles than so called hero...it is like this even today..
