At 5:48, in sumo that technique would be called Kawazugake, hooking backward counter throw. Usually it is a counter for an inside leg trip or uchi mata

Great work ... always comes from you! I liked the one-stand uchimata from your last minute of video. ( 10:55) - K. Kohara.

Mate, yours is one of the most indispensable judo channels in youtube! Thanks for you constant work. In minute 5:45 could it be YOKO-GURUMA?. Cheers!

7:24 if referees counting it as a score... then it should be han soko make - head diving
@oriolbozzo9865 Жыл бұрын
I think that in minute 9:30 it's SODE-TSURIKOMI-GOSHI.
@santiagoholtreman4806 Жыл бұрын
I feel like some of those scores were ansokomake, like the last one, for diving. The referees were being super quick to give ansokomakes this year, for example with Lombardo in Doha.

I think the last one isn't Hansokumake, because he has his hand placed on the floor.

Very good work. The technique executed by Lee on Gleeson is Sode tsuri komi goshi, not Seoinage. He is holding both sleeves.
@JudoHighlights2015 Жыл бұрын
Doesn’t really matter if he’s holding both sleeves
@bagelpap Жыл бұрын
@@JudoHighlights2015 Do you mean it's still Seoinage?
@JudoHighlights2015 Жыл бұрын
@@bagelpap yeah there are lots of cases when people do double sleeve seoi nage. It’s dumb. I used to think how you did. It’s easier 😂
@bagelpap Жыл бұрын
@@JudoHighlights2015 Sorry for being boring but I am not convinced. Why is Kodokan calling this same technique Sode tsuri komi goshi? I don't see any difference besides Lee kneeling. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6TQcqumor5_has
@JudoHighlights2015 Жыл бұрын
It's really minor, but the main difference between the two is not the hands, because you can do either technique as long as you have one sleeve, it's how you lift your opponent. If they're high up on the back (SEnaka) it's SEoi nage, and if they're lower down by your hips (KOshi) it's sode tsurikomi GOshi. So when people hit their knees with two sleeves, it's 99% of the time going to be a seoi nage. The standing variations are harder to see a difference.

@judohighlights2015 Regarding Fonseca (-100)- he collapsed to the Tatami after the last play and needed Medical attention, therefore he didn’t attend the Repechage. The same thing happened to him in GS Tel-Aviv earlier this year (after he lost to Paltchik) then he was absent from the Tour until now, any idea what is going on with him and if he suffers from a medical condition?
@JudoHighlights2015 Жыл бұрын
I dunno but I’ve seen his hands lock up on the mate. My only guess is he has weight cutting problems

You say referees aren't allowed to touch athletes at all. Why is that?
