Yeah I see this happen a lot. In this situation I think she was going to call mate because he went to his knees, and didn’t expect him to stand up. It all happens so fast and I think the video refs check if it interfered or not

@@JudoHighlights2015 seoi means shoulder, no? So if tori is not throwing over his shoulder (i.e. the elbow is out not in), I think it's not a seoi throw. See for example kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZXFfH6HptKNpJI I believe it is sometimes referred to as hiki otoshi as well.

@@mfp5585 Seoi comes from the Japanese verb seou which mean to carry something on your back. I know what you're saying about the elbow, but just casually this has been come to be known as a seoi otoshi. kodokanjudoinstitute.org/en/waza/digest/03/ this page, illadis, Koga, and those fighting film videos had something to do with it. Hiki otoshi isn't a waza, it just means to pull and drop, but I think it's a part in some kata?

I believe it is Tai otoshi. Drop knee tai otoshi first used by Korean judoka. Jeon Ki-young was a specialist of this technique.

I practiced Judo 40 years ago and I did not see any ground grappling in these extracts . I have heard that ground fighting has been restricted in Judo championships because the public cannot see what is going on , in that part of the match and because it not very spectacular at all , besides . Is that true ? If so , I believe it is a great loss .

Of cause it's no Ippon at 2.50, he just lands on one side. You can't just give Ippon whenever something looks spectacular.

yeah that's what I meant. He definitely landed on his side, but Tori wasn't finished, he continued his throw and flattened him out. Looked like one movement to me... but I know they don't like this rolling onto the back for ippon anymore. In the old days this would definitely be ippon.
