Finally got to sit and watch this and damn its so much fun watching Budokai played at this level. Back in the day all we really had was Big combos and videos beating up a CPU (Which we see how that makes certain people act LMFAO) But watching a long set like this shows how neutral is played and what adaptations and counter play people come up with on the spot. It really makes me wanna get back into it. But fuck the ps2 emulator. I fucking wish Budokai 3 and IF came out on GC just because of Dolphin lmfao

It’s legit not, he does a stun string into a side step into a back combo that confirms an ult. Extreamly rare in my experience to confirm combo into ult.

Is grabbing not viable? I noticed you can go into infinites off of grab when I was messing around in the lab, seems to be a massive lack of them in this set, is there a reason the baby isn’t going for them?

grabs are really strong but kinda slow you gotta really condition your opponent before using them, you can punch right thru them if you react to them

@@hippobudokai4718 Understood, being able to punch through them is rough. I always kinda noticed that in matches, but never really made the connection that jab beats out the first 5 frames of grab. Much love, thanks for making amazing content. This video is still the craziest thing I’ve seen in Infinite World. I always show it to my fighting game buddies to blow their mind.

Not bad wish I saw this vid years ago when ti came out. You got the mechnics pretty good just gotta optimize those combos more and stop doing infinite for the sake of infinites and end them when they got 2.9 ki with a DM instead

No. Doing the infinite forces them to dit theough it or teleport which waste ki.

@@sky-oq5mr Well yeah and its fine but the end goal is ending the match. Forcing them to teleport gets you the Ki advantage but you want as much damage as possible to end it quicker while you can land a hit

I have to say, the lack of creativity with the combat is hard to watch. Whoewas playing vegeta has some unrefined skill with dodge and block as well as his ability to interrupt. Other that that, do you both only know 2 combos?? Jesus that was hard to watch

Theres no variety meter based on your subjective idea of whats cool in a combo. All that matters is finishing a combofor max damage before they get 3 Ki to teleport out which is what usually keeps infinites from mattering since they get damage buffered into pointlessness very fast

This is competitive not beginner combo ladders lmfao. Only scrubs play unoptimized. Its not about combos its about teying to force the other person to waste their ki so you can have them locked into a stun til death without anyway out.
