IMHO worth every cent...spent a lot of time researching options including hoists. Using straps, other bolts to attach straps, and the eventual damage and wear that is going to cause on your Wrangler body and hard top is not worth it. It stores the top super securely. Plus it keeps the wife happy because she can do it herself. And you can't place a price on that :)

Probably been the best tool I've seen so far in taking the jeep top off! Thanks for showing this video!!!
@Wildflowernw5 жыл бұрын
I just ordered one and am looking forward to getting it. I see many comments saying it's a waste of money and just call a friend over. As a woman that lives alone that can be somewhat difficult. Who wants to call people over everytime I want to remove/install the top. 7-3-19 Update. I received the top lift and put it together in a couple hours. Could've done it quicker without interruptions. Directions were crystal clear. Last Sunday I used it to take the top off. Very easy to use and highly recommend. Someone asked after lifted. I gave a 2" lift. The Top lift has an adjustable height. Plenty of range.

Thank you. Your video finally gave me the answers to two questions I've had. I hadn't been able to find the answers anywhere. 1) Q: Can you put the back window down, once the top is removed. A: YES! 2) Q: Is it high enough to park under, when it is in the garage. A: YES! With both of these questions answered in the affirmative, this will definitely fit my use case. I am definitely going to buy one.

Great video. I haven't bought one yet as I had reservations about how stable it was. Other videos showed it rocking around so much. But you've demonstrated that it's stable even when rocking around. Great job.

Who ever owns this company can make a ton of money if they cut the price in half. I bet most Jeep owners with a hardtop would buy. I guess they are selling a lot of these cause the price hasn't budged in a few years.

45 bucks at hardware store. I did 6 rachet straps, 6 i bolts. 2 12 foot 2x4s and 1 , 2x4 at 75 inches the 4 bolts go on the 2 long 2x4 and slide across the ceiling joists since I rent no new holes and the extra length across gives more strength then just the joists . 4 straps and a few pulls I drive right out. For long term I use the shorter 2x4 with 2 more straps in the rear, put it under and rachet up till the hook ends are out and the top rests on the 2x4 . While this scaffolding set is neat it takes up space with or with out the top on . Since my joists are 12 foot I can get the top up fairly high. It’s stable and secure and lasts all summer. I got my soft top free so it goes on and that’s that for me. If you got money and space it’s nice but there are many ways on the KZbin lol. I got mine from Wayalife channel here and modified it with the long resting 2x4’s since I rent. Any way take it easy gents.

Cool idea but for $1000.00 I’ll just have a friend or brother in law swing by. I only need to do this twice a year once in April and once in October. You’d be better off spending the $1000.00 on a soft top since obviously you don’t have one if you’re constantly taking your hard top off and on

If you don't have roof racks installed and an awning this is a way better way to take off your hardtop. The crane I built takes nearly an hour to assemble by myself but I think it offers better control to lift and lower. looks like a great design though.

@KhenaKara7 жыл бұрын
NASCAR3D After a few months, I still absolutely love it. No issues. Much better than hoist as I don't have to line up Jeep perfectly. They are about to come out with door removers as well, which lifts doors straight up and lines them up perfectly when putting them back on. Definitely getting those. Also, getting my own Jeep so may have to buy another so both my wife and I can have tops off. Really impressive.

Anything you would change or suggest for upgrades? How high off the ground is the unit? From ground to top of Base bar? Wondering if it will slide under my sports car to save space on one side of the garage.. lol It looks totally worth the money, even though it's nearly triple a hoist system. I want to be able to take off the top and put it back on quickly and by myself... your video has helped allot in my decision!

NASCAR3D Glad I could help. Many people asked me about it, that why I made it (and was one of the first people to own one). At the front, it's not very tall, but bars go diagonally up so you won't be able to pull a regular car all the way against it. Probably only a quarter of the way. How do I know? I have an Infiniti Q50S you see in driveway and tried it. LOL

Good thing is that it's made by a company here in Tampa so instructions are in English, not translated from Chinese. LOL. They actually makes sense and have a lot of photos. All in 8x10 folder so very well done. Not a small folded paper. LOL. Jerry Ulm Custom in Tampa sells them and have them on display.

Q: Do you have to remove the back seat, fold it down or can you leave it in place? Q: Can you please post a video showing how to take the doors and top off together? I see videos of top removal but not doors; do the doors come off first and what do you do with them afterwards? Do they store on the device as well? I am definitely interested in purchasing one of these.
@KhenaKara7 жыл бұрын
You can leave everything in place. I have quick disconnect screws on my hardtop so I just unscrew the 6 screws inside and 2 on top, and take it right off. They are coming out with the door option soon, so as soon as they do, I'll get it and update the video. I've seen it at Jeep Beach. The doors will need to be stored somewhere else. I think they are also coming out with a cart for them.
