Definitely fresh for me, but they have to be cooked until soft with the cut side lightly caramelised. At home, a sprinkle of sugar helps.

Perfect though for that crispy egg. All about the desired affect! Sometimes I want a clean egg, sometimes crispy, sometimes yolk just covered. Amazing breakkie! I would just add some black pudding and Hale and pace scenes are craking me up!

My nan always made us eat a tomato after a fry up because she said the acidity breaks the fat down, and that looked a good breakfast and putting the egg on the fried bread on the plate that's the way to mop the plate after

I agree with Darren about “over juicy” beans, I melt a small knob of butter in the pan then add the beans, heat them up then let them cool with the lid on, reheat before plating up and perfect without juice running all over 😊

Darran John I did wonder where the tomato was and when I cooked in a local cafe I never had any complaints because I would try to cook the food to how the customer liked it and your's looked wonderful.

The trick is with hienz beans you have to add a teaspoon of butter and then they thicken up like Branston beans but they keep that amazing hienz flavour 😉 oh and a pinch of black pepper 😜

Just eaten our own full English..grilled smoked sreaky bacon/bent pork sausage..🤭..poached eggs.. mushrooms and beans..I always save the dripping from the bacon..to spread on the bread..then grill..my version of fried bread..now..it's Waitrose tinned tomatoes all the way for me..😋..fresh tomatoes for hubby.. sometimes black pudding..your breakfast looked 9.9 Darren..👍

I think the kind of tomatoes on a breakfast sets your expectations tinned and I think the produce is generally going to be frozen or the cheaper end of the scale but if there's fresh tomatoes then my expectations are set for superior ingredients to have been used, hope that makes sense

Fresh tomato with a drizzle of olive oil and ground black pepper lightly grilled. Cooked the eggs slightly to early hence the crispy edge, Lean bacon brilliant love a bit of Smokey bacon adds so much flavour. Sausages looked like Lincolnshire ones?

DJ MM, for me (opinions differ)tinned plum tomatoes if no beans,halved grilled tomatoes if beans,snip back of bacon to prevent curling under the grill,beans heated on hob not in microwave(Branston definitely best flavour) sausages cooked under grill before bacon and kept in a warm oven then fried bread cooked drained and cut on kitchen towel then in oven, frying pan off heat then put in toast,crack eggs into cooling oil and flick with spatula, continually stir beans,put eggs back on low heat,toast on plate, sausages and bacon on plate then egg then beans. That looked good DJ not sure about the sniffing your bent sausage inuendo but you didn't stoop to that😂 ketchup is a no for me has to be brown! DJ I wish you told him that there was a £5 service charge at the end😂 off the charts DJ Good stuff mate✌️🍻

What sausage was used? ie maker . When you tuck in always start with the sausage, its the yard stick for the rest normally. I take it being in London without a service charge must add to the enjoyment.

Traditionally I think the English breakfast should be fried, to unlock all those amazing flavours, this also renders down the fat and gives a much richer fuller flavour especially with sausages bacon and mushrooms, you can then make your fried bread with the rendered fat from the bacon in the frying pan. Like Darren said "do you want a builders breakfast or a traditional breakfast! All in all it was a solid version of a traditional classic, Ask chef Darren to do a fry-up next time so you can compare - Tin tomatoes all the way!
