My Perspective, for what that's worth on a Social Media flooded with "Adolescent Minds". I think I've heard of this movie. Dwight Yoakam is in this movie, an exceptional actor as well as a Country Star. I haven't watched yet, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it has a more art/cinema depth. These movies tend to become appreciated in time and they routinely don't make for the easy watch and satisfaction found in the Classic Genre', in this case a Classic Western. They are two different forms of story, movie, and audience. I prefer the Classic Westerns of the 1940's - about 1965. There are occasional Westerns that have followed that hit that mark, but they are maybe 1 every 5 years, like "Tombstone", "Maverick" The Production technology and the Directors of the era can not be reproduced in this era, we can't do today what was done in the past, the energy changed, but we can write a Western as good and better, they just don't seem to realize they are worthy of Production and would be Profitable. Had they realized this, Sam Elliott would have made at least 10 more Westerns written well. The story and the Director are the requirements for the winning factor. Even a weak cast can be successful if the Story is Great and the Director is good. This movie is far too "drama deep a story" ("out there") for most to enjoy. The acting is excellent.
