Seeing Dib get to work with Tak after I literally just met and asked Jhonen if she was still alive made my day! I was fortunate enough to meet him at Galaxy Con Columbus this past weekend when he told me that he had actually planned for an alliance between Dib and Tak to happen at the end of enter the florpus. Apparently after the whole Moo-ping 10 scene at the end of the movie she would pop out of a hatch in her ship and approach Dib about it so seeing something similar like this was just awesome!

So, was this a fan plot constructed from the ground up, or was this based on an actual scrapped episode? Either way, it was really good. The characters were spot on, and I liked all the different art styles the animators used. The show didn't bring Dib into space episodes very often, so that's another thing I liked.

Tallest Purple here. This episode was indeed based off of one of the scrapped episodes of Top of the Line. Unlike other cancelled episodes from the show that had scripts and recorded dialogue. All “Top of the Line” has was a brief and vague summary. I think the writers did a pretty good job at trying to imagine what actual episode could have been (with a few… ahem… colorful language changes) Thanks for watching!

Heyo! Tallest Purple’s VA here. In a way it’s a mix of both. Top of the Line was one of the episodes in production for the show’s second season before Nick stupidly cancelled it. Some of the cancelled episodes were leaked to the internet via scripts, actual recording sessions, and script reads at conventions. Top of the Line however, never got leaked in any format, just had a basic description of what the episode could have been. The writers just took that vague premise, built off it and here we are.

I had so much fun recording the lines, if they make another episode that needs voice work I’m down for it. So while I can’t say for sure if we’ll make more or not, all I can say is never say never…
