I save so much money by first thinking if there's any possible way I can live without an item. When I cannot, I love finding a multi-use container to elevate it. Hopefully one day Container Store arrives in Germany! I just know it would be a perfect fit :)

Haha, true story, you don't want to have to get thousands of boxes for your unsorted stuff ;-). It's really sad that there are no container stores in germany. You could try looking in Globus Baumarkt or www.containerstore.de/ but it's still not the same as a real container store you just can walk in :-).

Neat to see where you get your organization tools. We have one of these stores near me but I always thought it was just expensive plastic bins...may just wander in there, still downsizing though!

CMS Sultana, if you go, my top item to look for is the LockUps containers in the mini boxes section. These are perfect for travel, when you don't want to use GoToob containers. You can put small jewelry, pills, shampoo, and face wash in these, and they all lock on to each other! So multi-purpose and so genius. I put a link, but Amazon only sells about 18 at a time 😂 Also, the $2 travel hairbrush is really great. If I had short hair, it would be my only hairbrush.

Best tip you said that I learned the hard way is down size first. I'm moving soon and I love this store, but I'm staying away until I move otherwise money will be wasted. What fits in one house doesn't always fit in another.

Vision Femme it is literally called The Container Store. The closest thing in Canada might be "Solutions - Your Organized Living Store" in Ottawa or Toronto (I only know of that store because another KZbinr talked about it).

I'm not a sub so here goes: this feels like an ad for the Container store. For those from other countries, know that this store is ridiculously expensive. I've gone there over the years and I leave shaking my head. Only ever buy things I can't get elsewhere or make on my own. If you're a minimalist I can't understand the promotion of this store.

GREAT idea and solution for ...all... your woman-to-woman tips and sharings, if I may coin a word. I picked up from a recent one of your videos that you are a Court Reporter (if I got that straight), which may contribute to the over-drive speed of your brain....the challenge of keeping up with witnesses and lawyers going full tilt! I was 10 years in the DA's Office, and half that time I was transcribing from audio cassette tapes...with my toe on a Stop/Start pedal; you don't have such a luxury in the court room's real life speed(s). Simplicity, once home, must be absolutely therapeutic! lol. My HERO!

Yeah, it really only makes sense to get it in the set of three. You can get the 2 oz for cheaper, but I like the 3 oz ones the best.

More Melody Walmart has one sometimes for salad dressing that is very similar - $3 I think? I am considering one for homemade face cream and toothpaste. Thanks for the tour Mel - like a candy store for us order nerds. : ) I have found a solution when I don't want to buy a container for something - diy with a cardboard box & cover with marble contact paper or white wrapping paper. It works so well.

Although I love storage solutions, I didn't get the point of this video. A random walk through container store? I would have liked some stronger focus and usage examples. Maybe just pick one or two areas of your life and then explain what type of organisation unit would be great for it and what are the options and what are you experiences. It was kind of there, but very jumbled. You also talk super fast here.

I love the container store! i could spend hours in there. one tip i have is for storing DVDs. they have DiscSox sleeves. these sleeves hold the DVDs and artwork. Heres the tip, their "tall shoe box" holds these sleeves perfectly. the box is $3.99 and you have boxes per genre like i did. when i thinned out my DVD collection on a bookcase where they took up sooo much room so, these sleeves and boxes were perfect.
