What minimum watts would I need to run a fridge for a couple of days ? Providing I can charge the power station with solar
@galaxytraveler57792 ай бұрын
I like Bluetti. I already have the AC180, and now thinking of getting the AC50B "700W" unit. One thing I do like, which, to my knowledge, sets them apart from the competition, is that they use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which gives you a much longer life span at 3,000+ charges. '+' meaning after that, they apparently continue to work, just losing about 20% of the charge capacity and subsequently increasing that percentage over time.
@theeard2 ай бұрын
I would like ratings of how long each of these batteries holds a charge under zero load conditions. As back up batteries, if they discharge in a week (as my ecoflow river 2 does) they aren't particularly useful when needed. If it is installed continuously charging and being used as a power source, what is the power consumption and life of the unit? thanks
@kingtaj11 ай бұрын
I appreciate the earnest review, but I really need some bare minimum specs when you introduce each model. Max output, total W-h capacity, and AC charging wattage. If you can flash a specs card on the screen with each product intro, that would go a long way.

Lithium Ion: 500 to 1000 cycles Lithium ferro-Phosphate: 2500 to 3000 cycles That doesn't mean they will be broken after that, it just means that after those cycles, the battery capacity will be reduced to 80%. LI can catch fire or explode, LFP will just smoke when they short circuit.

Nice video. Which one would be the best for a CPAP breathing machine. Powering it for a steady 7 hours.
@CJ-rg4qu4 ай бұрын
Looked At this recently myself. A CPAP machine with a heater draws about 90 watt hours (look on your machines tag). Take the power stations rated watt hour capacity, reduce it by 20% for an average peak consumption, and divide that number by your CPAP machines watt hours. Basically for a 8 hour sleep I found they had to be about 1200 watt hours.

This video is very informitive. I'm Australian, so many of these power banks will cost me 2x or even 3x the American MSRP. I experience a lot of power outages, so I'm in search of a power bank that can be placed under my desk, provide power to my PC, and also charge itself for the day I might need it. It should function similar to a PC UPS. When I do need it, my main requirement is for it to briefly power my large freezer once or twice (not continuously, just long enough to keep it cool), and hopefully, power a TV and console for at least 3 days (not while connected to the freezer). Not to mention charge some devises here and there. Any advice on that?

Needing maintenance, drain and/or a recharge before getting the pleasure of using it. Not fun. Besides, that won't fit under my desk. lol

What Zoe Wang said. If you look at wh per pound, BTU’s per pound, whatever, gas be it propane, gasoline or diesel offers more per pound, and more per dollar than any other option. You can easily spend $10k to $25k (USD) to go off-grid with solar+battery. The only thing that gives you is convenience for an up front expense. You can buy a lifetime of propane for that amount.

I think it depends on your electrical load, but I think the Anker should be sufficient for most campers, plus it has the TT30 outlet which many RVs can plug into. I don't know much about how ducato campers work, but that's my suggestion Edit: I am just now realizing you probably have a campervan and not a trailer. In that case, something smaller might be advantageous. The Ecoflow Delta Mini is probably your guy

120 miles certainly isn't the longest rating for the $1500 Anker product. And based on my experience, I would say that their products are designed to wear out immediately after their warranty period. And their customer service is trash - they do not stand behind their throw-away products and they don't give a damn. 120 mile design life sounds about right. It's literally designed to break.
@CJ-rg4qu4 ай бұрын
Do you really see yourself walking 120 miles with this thing? They are generally hauled from the vehicle a short distance to your site and back. 120 miles is a lot longer for how these will be used than you think.

@andredeketeleastutecomplex2 ай бұрын
For the appliances that you want to use: don't use high power devices, stay well under the battery's maximum output, to not strain the battery, it will live longer. You might need to buy lower power devices (example: grill, fridge, AC, heater) to make it work. For the battery, calculate approx how much power you would use daily (plus max watts per hour), and double that number, to pick the battery you need. Providing that you can charge it daily, otherwise your chosen battery is still not big enough. I own 2 power stations myself, my big one is 500W output power (A/C), so I bought a water cooker (300W), rice cooker (300W), and a small bathroom heater (350W max), to stay under those 500W. Stay well under the max limit of the outlet, do not let surge, do not use boost, keep in pure sine wave setting. This all to prevent too much cooling, which can ruin the lifespan of the battery. Most of all, read and view many reviews, before you make up your mind, never hastely buy such technology. Also, look for a reputable brand, and once you made your choice, don't buy online, but go look for a real store with a good reputation, they will help you when you encounter problems, manufacturer support usually sucks.

Big, takes hours of charging but at least, you can play your PS5. I feel like you need to separate your console and TV plus Router. I mean buy two power stations.
