Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort - Robert Trent Jones Course:
Location: 7 Trent Jones Ln, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928

3. Heritage Golf Collection at Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club - Barony Course:

For me, and I've played every public course in the HHI/Bluffton area, the top 5 is as follows Atlantic Dunes (in Harbor Town) Harbor Town Golf Links Oyster Reef RTJ in Palmetto Dunes Old South/Hilton Head National - both off the island, but both are incredible for the money and very fun A few shout outs; if you ever have the chance to play a course called Riverton in Okatie/Hardeeville, for my money (and this is a private course), this may be the best layout in the area out of any course; HHI or surrounding. Another shout would be Crescent Pointe in Bluffton. This also has one of the most interesting layouts by far in the area, however its overall quality will be lacking, but for me, the layout is so vastly different than everything else, you have to check it out. Have played a few of the private courses; Longcove, Country Club of Hilton Head, Belfair, and Berkley Hall (need to play Colleton River!!), these courses are great and all, but they are not much different from the "good" public courses, just my two cents. Hope this helps anyone visiting the area!

Agree with this list, except for Oyster Reef. Moving down here from MN, the state of public golf in Savannah/Bluffton/HH is pretty disappointing. They are all overpriced, uninspired resort courses, imo. Unfortunately most of the great golf courses in the area are private

@@parfessor I’ve been twice so my list is not filled yet. So far Oyster reef Harbour town I’ll be playing HH national and heron point this time. Played robbers row and dolphin head last.

Played Robert Trent Jones this past summer, it was only my 4th time playing golf and boy did we lose a lot of balls. But now I shoot low hundreds and sometimes break 100. I’m heading back down this upcoming summer so looking to get my skills improved before hand.

Harbour Town, Heron Point, Atlantic Dunes all in Sea Pines. Robert Trent Jones and Arthur Hills in Pd. That’s the top 5. Oyster Reef is ok… barony and Shipyard don’t belong in a “top course” discussion. Just off island, HH National and Old South are way better than those 2 as well. 🌴⛳️

Its part of Sea Pines Resort so technically hes right but it is Harbor Town Golf Links, Atlantic Dunes and Heron Point
