Hey Jill, thanks for bringing this to our attention. That is one cool electric vehicle. I love it! Exciting times to be a vehicle purchaser these days.

200ish mile range in good weather limits it's usefulness to grocery getter, kid hauler. Cool concept tho.

For around town, maybe, but that's not what people do. They go where they go, city, country, highway, etc. C'mon VW, more range.

🤣🤣$80,000 and only low 200 mile range. Using undependable EA to charge- a VW charging station! HELLLLL NOOOOO! I'll buy the Sienna XSE for $30k cheaper!

Great overview Jill, now VW has to make that igenuity and more practical and accessible with much more range and a more approachable price.

5 year old tech already and priced out of the segment. Practically no one here in Europe has bought one during the 2 year period after being released. Only a few vans for trades people.

I saw one in the tin at Bug Jam this year. I found it interesting but want to see VW do a Westfalia version.

Love the this car. But like almost every comment in this thread. Price is too high and range is too low.
@treborheminway38144 күн бұрын
With that price, it should have 400 miles of range. Does look cool though.

The retro look is KOOL. The interior is very nice. Range destroys it. No reason to exist with range that lousy. VW killed any chnace at decent sales with the horrible range.

$80K price tag for a vw ....that nuked it for me!
@Molishious4 күн бұрын
So yeah, I can’t afford this vehicle and if I could I wouldn’t pay the price. However, people have been waiting for this for about 7 years, some people anyway. So there is a lot of pent up demand and I think it will sell well initially. People paid $120,000 for the Cybertruck, so I think this will sell at $80,000. Hopefully they can bring down the price dramatically in a couple of years. It will come down dramatically as a used vehicle in any case, so there’s that. Range is mediocre, but charging speed is good. I want it to succeed because it’s so cool, but unfortunately VW won’t get any help from me. 🤷♂️ Looking forward to seeing one in the wild.

I love the styling of this inside and out. It gets attention because it looks so cool and I like that it’s adding an interesting vehicle to the road. The price and range are disappointing, but this will still sell well initially so I’m hoping they’ll improve this over time. VW needs to bring back real buttons and switches. Would work well in a nostalgic retro car. The Buzz is better for road tripping than some might think as it charges fast which is also important. People road tripped in the VW Bus and I looked it up and found that it had about 70 hp and a top speed of 65 mph if you were going down hill. I suppose if this was a proper microbus, the engine would blow up and leave you stranded in Albuquerque. So no, you can’t get the classic VW Bus road tripping experience. That precocious 6 year old missed an interesting oversight in the Buzz. No cup holders in the second row. Gasp! I don’t think the cargo is that big a deal as this bus will be sold to those who can afford it and they’ll probably just have that third row folded down 99 % of the time because their kids are probably grown up. As much as I love the look of this inside and out, for my money, I’d go for the EV 9 as it is also beautiful inside and out and I can get it in the color and trim I want with $5000 off. (Not because it has 4 cup holders in the second row, but that doesn’t hurt.)

Too expensive, too short range. No thanks. VW should’ve made it as a more affordable turbo gas Hybrid.

Another thing that kills this besides the wimpy range is the crappy infotainment system lifted from the ID.4. These things will be discounted $20-30K in the US and they'll yank them from the market after that.

The plastic electric crap £70.000 price tag. My god how can they justify it. Utter madness for something with a short lifespan. My t25 is great it's carbon footprint is minimal compared to these don't be suckered in . RUBBISH

This thing is crying out for bench seats. I truly don't understand a minivan that seats only 6 people, when most had 8 person seating just a decade ago (and, although a different category, the Suburban will do 9 in a specific configuration). I mean, a pickup truck seats 6 and I think does it more comfortably.

@jayray2743 күн бұрын
Exterior/Interior looks cool minus the white 🙄. VW should have offered a gas variant though. It would have sold a lot better than these are going to. Range isn’t great at all and the small rear window concept is just dumb. I understand trying to maximum aerodynamic but it looks like shit and functionality for rear passengers is lackluster.

Vans were designed for road trips and hauling people and stuff on road trips. This fails right out of the gate with the piss poor range. Shame on VW. Epic fail.

$72,000 for All4, No one wants the rear drive only at $62,000. I waited 20 years and 3 variations on this theme and the price is 20K more then originally advertised and range a solid 100 miles less then most other all electric vehicles, is a big no go. They are already being discounted 2K in Connecticut. Watch KZbin videos to see how many people couldn't charge at stations and almost got stranded. Even our Mach-e has 300 mile range and a tesla adapter that is free with the car. Very cool but terrible value.

I rather like the “engine” button. I’m sure the Germans left it on there on purpose. But the car has no engines, it has two motors.
