Been a gmen fan since 1990. First fave player was LT and after he retired , Rodney Hampton was my fave player. Hampton was a physical monster!

How do you think the 1994-1996 Giants would have done if they kept Jeff Hostetler

Competitive games for the most part, but they tested one's patience and heart.

The Giants were not that competitive for most of the 90s.

Every Giants fan who watched football during those years knows hampton was the only bright spot on some putrid Giants offensives during those days. If they could of gotten any kind of QB play during those dark dave brown years Hampton would of been a bigger star around the league im sure.

Bad coaching didn't help. If Parcells and BB stuck around a couple more years there's a good chance these guys win another ring.

Yeah he would have been bigger star because those Giants team offensively were awful so they would just stuff like 8 defenders in the front just to stop him. Giants literally had no passing game during his tenure and he still rushed for over 1K yards a season, which is pretty incredible if you think about it.

You weren't satisfied with Kent Graham's two runs with the Giants?

Interesting to note that Hampton scored on a 70 yard (apprx.) TD run the very first time he carried the ball in a Giants uniform during a game, which was the first pre-season game played at Buffalo. The chances of finding that footage is probably incredibly low, and the only reason I remember it was because I was there. There were a couple of us Giant fans at the game (we had a section practically to ourselves) and we were excited to see the club and our first- round draft pick Hampton as well. When he scored a long TD on his first carry, we figured that was a good omen for the 1990 Giants season. Turns out it was.

Well, it looks like that footage of Hampton's first ever carry in a Giants uniform has shown up in KZbin land. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaeylp2LpJtgrsU&ab_channel=AndetriaHampton%2CLPC%2CRPT
This was my guy man. The ONLY bright spot in what was a trash ass years offensively for the Giants. Dude was an absolute beast. Old school who can tote the rock 30 times a game. One hell of a Giant!
