It takes a lot of time to move it around face / neck to cover all areas. In doing so it gets pretty warm and caused more hyperpigmentation for me. The heat and overlapping areas causing too much exposure caused more dark spots. The masks are better suited for anti-aging - easier to use, less time and effective coverage. 😀

The Augustine Bader promo IS NOT worth it IMO. I had to correct the sales rep that tries to sell it to me by stating “it interacts with your stem cells to improve your skin” I asked where she got this drug claim from and she said it came from the sales rep from Augustine Bader. Eeeks… As a cosmetic chemist, the Peptide-8 is the very last ingredient on the list. It’s a definite nope.

Oh wow hmm that is tricky. I don’t know what you’re wearing but I love Headsweats running hats and a long time ago I bought upf running sleeves that worked well. Wish I had a sunscreeen suggestion for you. It would be cool if the race would have sunscreen sprays at the later hydration stations so you didn’t have to carry that. Maybe a suggestion for the race organizers?

I don’t think anyone could tell you for sure. Everyone’s skin is different. I put my moisturizer on my back with peach slices salycilic acid toner and it seems to work preventing back acne for me. In the past she’s recommended that body oil as a first step oil cleanse, never heard anyone actually talk about it as a body oil. You’ll have to report back if you try it!

Dr. Dray, it seems like you're not informed about Nuface. It is not meant to work on tightening the skin. It works on muscles below the skin, just like e-stim works for muscles in the body. With age, we lose muscle mass in the face just like we lose in the body. For that Nuface is effective, it DOES work, but just like weight training for your body, you need to do it consistently over time to see results. I don't know if Nuface is marketing benefits for tightening the skin itself. That would be misleading. But I use it on my 48 year old face and I see results - my face looks plumper from the muscle stimulation when I use it consistently.

I am well informed on nuface and it is marketed for lifting and contouring the facial muscles while also reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Muscle atrophy is NOT a major driving factor in the aging face, but rather a combination of bone loss, fat redistribution and loss of collagen & elasticity to the skin. "Working out" the muscles is not what wards off or improves the signs of facial aging. I tried this device myself and while it temporarily firmed the appearance of my face, the results were not long lasting as the day went on. Many people find that this device is helpful and they are motivated to continue using it, however that was not my experience. This is not an evidence based device, either, as you won't find clinical trials on pubmed that back up the claims made by the device manufacturer. For these reasons, I do not recommend it.

Especially on forehead since I feared it could alter the neuro-electricity in the brain. I noticed a slight lifting appearance which faded after a few hours.
