Soggy you are alive! Hadn’t seen a vid from you in awhile, glad to see you are still around. I can’t say I have found a good replacement to the 6916, but I think we fly tyers are more fussy then fish are sometimes.

I have original 6916 and at the rate I tie, the amount I have will probably last me for years to come. But a few years ago I bought a product that was almost identical in color to the 6916. That product is Kreinik "Flash in a tube" 011HL(high lustre} Gun metal. It has a slight texture to it, unlike Flashabou which is smooth. which gives it an amazing reflective quality. It's quite a bit stronger than flashabou.

I found your blogpost of the top-5 shootout of 6916 replacements. Would you say that Togen’s Bluesteel chirony skin is still the best alternative?
