My advice to people in China: If you can afford to go to another country even for a day to get vaccinated against COVID. Go to South Korea, Taiwan, anywhere you can get vaccinated. I think it's still free in my home country of the United States. If you need to apply for a visa, tell them honestly, you just want to get vaccinated. Also, there are several vaccine brands, and they're all effective, but I think everyone agrees the Pfizer vaccine is the one to get. I've been vaccinated four times, for free, in Japan, but I think you need to have some kind of legal resident status to get vaccinated in Japan--my wife is Japanese. In the United States you just show up at any pharmacy; we even have vaccination tents and mobile units, but any pharmacy can vaccinate you, and again I believe it's still free of charge. I've been to Beijing six or eight times.
