Like the tips and looks a lot like what I throw! Already mentioned that's missing is a fluke. I also like throwing some kind of jig as light as I can get away with (usually but not always 1/4 oz) sometimes a swim jig but usually a lighter arke type. That and I like what Ike calls a small child rig on the TRD. It's just a TRD with a nail weight in the bottom, and a size 1 ewg hook rigged weedles... Z man Crawz Hot Craws in red is my Go to for Smallmouth all summer long but it is great around edges tight to shore for largemouth. I’ll catch fish with it in Maryland when they won’t give anything else a second glance.

No soft jerk baits... I love the 6th Sense version, Flush 5.2 On the fall it'll dive forward while having a tight shimmy along with a little tail action. Can't believe it doesn't get more hype on YT. Someone needs to do some underwater footage on it.

I agree, the soft jerk bait is a great bait that I always have tied on. I also use them for inshore fishing when fishing for trout and snook. It really imitates an injured bait fish when you twitch it. It drives fish crazy

My go-to lure for summer bassin' is the LiveTarget topwater frog popper. Just today, I had easily a dozen blowups but couldn't hook them.

Not so much a lure as a type of rig. I love the dropshot and have been able to catch em throughout the summer heat in Texas. I generally use small plastics with this such as the dreamshot or 4inch Yum Dinger

Hey buddy, great to see you made it back to Clay County! Just would love to know how you got onto the lake, I looked last weekend and could not find a good ramp.

There is a boat ramp on one side of the lake that even with a 4X4 it’s very difficult to get in and out of and it’s a little sketchy getting in there too. For this trip and when I go back we launched at the Keystone Beach Park. There is a kayak gate in the corner of the parking lot and you can get the kayak to the water with a cart or by dragging it. It’s not super easy, but it ain’t really hard either

Green or blue plastic lizard out there on Geneva has produced fairly well for me most trips. Texas rig with a very light bullet sinker.

If it’s Summertime I will ALWAYS have a BIG worm ready to go. Caught a 23-1/2” monster this past Saturday afternoon on a Net Bait Mega Bopper, 7.75” Magnum sized Swimming Worm.

Where do you throw that? Specifically around grass/weed lines or can it be open water? Shallow or deep? I threw a big worm yesterday for an hour or so in different water and only had one hit on it. Not sure I’m fishing it correctly or in the right places.

@@roadvoyagerlife1759 I have had success using the swimming worm in all those conditions. My home lake is shallow and has grass throughout for the most part but does have a few deep holes and a several clean bottom areas. I swim it just fast enough to tick the bottom (or top of the grass) usually but will also burn it or dead stick it occasionally for a change of presentation.

I fish a local waterway where I'm unable to get a fish to react to a topwater bait? I've tried buzzbaits, hollow body frogs and spook type baits with Zero strikes? The water is (Always) stained with visibility of about a foot (to humans). Anyone who would like to share some advice it would be Greatly appreciated. TIA

Try a pop-R style from your preferred hard bait company. I'd run a solid black for overcast days and chrome or gold on sunny days in that water. They aren't much of a search bait, but allow you to stay in the same spot longer while making a racket. There are three different retrieves by varying line slack on the twitch which give three varying actions with different sounds.
