This list has a lot of older songs on it which was kinda surprising honestly. I just figured there had to be a few songs from this newer era that cracked the top ten.

This list is 100% accurate to the history of Country Music. “Neon Moon” by Brooks and Dunn should be on here, but overall these are the GOATs. You should react to “El Paso” by Marty Robbins.

This is a decent list for “old school” country. Dolly should’ve been on this list but most everyone in this video is considered country royalty so I suppose it’s a fair list. Off the cuff, my top 10 old school country would be (I’m sure if I really think about it, the list would different) in no particular order: Lonesome fugitive - Merle Haggard I will always love you - Dolly Parton All the gold in California - Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Bros (amazing harmonies on this one) Long black veil - Johnny Cash Help me make it through the night - Sammy Smith Kaw-Liga - Charlie Pride Good hearted woman - Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson Tulsa Time - Don Williams I’m not Lisa - Jessi Colter Rose colored glasses - John Conlee

It’s so hard to realistically do any kind of top 10 list for any genre of music when you are taking decades and decades of songs. All of these artists and songs are well respected and highly thought of that you can’t really argue with it. I’m not particularly a big Hank Williams fan, but I completely recognize what he represented to country music in his time so whether it’s a personal favorite of mine or not I wouldn’t think of denying him a spot.

As the child who grew up in a house devoted to Country & Western music, I will say this list is old country (exception: Garth Brooks) which laid the foundation for what has now become contemporary country. I don't necessarily agree with those particular songs being the Top 10 of all time, but they are classics and I'm richer for having gotten to know the roots of country. The Judds (a little newer than those played) is another great duo and true country sound -- you should check them out. George Strait could make any list of mine as would Alan Jackson, some Toby Keith, The Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, and a host of others....keep digging into country -- you'll find some real gems. And of course, keep doing what you're doing -- your fan base loves you!

I think these online top 10's really are based on how one is raised and their own favorites. I'm seeing Waylon on here with honorable mentions, and I just keep thinking, "a mention?" Nah. He's in my top ten. But I was raised on the Outlaws. They are going to make my top ten every time. And how did Marty Robbins only take an honorable mention? Marty Robbins, for heaven sake. I was glad to see Merle made the list. "Mama Tried" is one of my all time favorite songs and who isn't singing "If We Make it Through December," every Christmas? Sometimes that song really hits home. Great list. As for my Top Country album? "Red Headed Stranger" hands down. I strongly suggest a listen. So make sure, if you haven't heard it, to set aside 105 minutes to just listen to that gem from beginning to end. I'm not even that big a Willie fan when it comes to my favorites among the Outlaws. But that album takes it all. Country songs have a tendency to tell a story, but "The Red Headed Stranger" tells a tale.

I like the song "Wabash Cannonball." The original is sung by Roy Acuff, but I like Boxcar Willie's version. I have fond memories of my grandpa dancing and singing that song to us. He would sing it just as Boxcar Willie did! The song means so much more to me now that I understand the history. I found that my grandfather actually WAS a "hobo" during the Great Depression. That is how he met grandma! "Wabash Cannonball" is a tribute to the old rail lines and the men who rode those rails!

Elvis does a great job on 'You were always on my mind.' Tammy Wynette was married to George Jones (Nickname the Possum). You are also right about who you might put on your top 10, might not even make my top 10. LOL And you should also check out the last song Johnny released before he passed away, called 'Hurt'. It is powerful stuff. Johnny was a wild one when he was young.

You should do a react to Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn's best friend, and Jamie Johnson's "Be your man" since you like low voices. I've spent an entire day watching your reactions. Also like to say George Jones is my favorite male artist and Dolly Parton is my favorite female artist, and I'm no old lady just love old country.

It’s hard to pick a top ten but you definitely can’t have a top ten without Johnny Cash! I agree Homefrees version of ring of fire was awesome. You should definitely do I Walk the Line by Johnny and Jackson by Johnny and June. Now that you’ve seen this I think you have to list to the whole version of George Jones he stopped loving her! You need to understand why he stopped loving her! Jolene by Dolly Parton. If you are going old school country you need to include the greats like Johnny Cash, Loreatta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jenning, Willie Nelson and the list goes on. Do Keith Whitley Don’t Close Your Eyes and When you say nothing at all. If you are going with todays country you have to include anything by Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Carrie underwood, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith (American Soldier), Miranda Lambert, Morgan wallen, Kane brown and of course Dylan Scott!

You should definitely check out the podcast Cocaine & Rhinestones. It's hosted by David Allan Coe's son, and it's all about the back stories behind songs and artists of 20th century country music. Some really great stories, and it'll turn you onto even more artists and songs. Also, Angel Flying too Close to the Ground by Willie Nelson is a great song to check out
