Thanks, Batman Fan... I'm not saying anything bad about Amell's Green Arrow. It's just that I had to pick a top ten out of so many. This list is only my opinion. I'd totally respect anyone who ranks Amell's Arrow as #1.

On one hand, I absolutely love Stephen Amell's character from the Arrowverse, and I adore the first 2 seasons of the show (and season 5, obviously) buuut... he's not _very_ faithful to the (most common) comic book version, is he? Green Arrow from *Smallville,* played by Justin Hartley, acts a lot more like the usual Oliver Queen IMHO, while Amell acts more like an alternate universe/different Earth Bruce Wayne. Arrow from season 1 had some stuff in common with "the Grim Knight" from the Dark Multiverse event. Then when he mellows out, he starts to act more like a Nolanverse Batman; after all, *Arrow* season 3 is full of call-backs to Batman Begins, in the same way *Gotham* season 5 is basically a half season long retelling of "The Dark Knight rises"

@@randallflagg3700 It's true. In many ways, the writers treated Arrow as "the closest we can get to writing a live action Batman show." But honestly, I think the Smallville writers did the same. It was no secret that they always wanted to bring Batman on Smallville. And they just eventually settled on the idea that using all their Batman ideas for Green Arrow instead was the closest they could ever legally get to Batman on Smallville.

Great video as always !!! Here are my Top 10 DCTV Heroes on The CW - 1. Superman on Superman & Lois played by Tyler Hoechlin , Tyler's Superman on Superman & Lois is for me the best live action version of Superman since the late great Christopher Reeve and the best Clark Kent since Tom Welling on Smallville. Tyler's Superman on Supergirl and the Arrowverse crossovers I did like but did not love how the Supergirl writers wrote him yes he's a supporting character I get it but he should be respected but that's just me. On Supoerman & Lois Tyler' has gotten to shine a lot more showing the dorky side of Clark Kent but also the hope , optomisum and joy of Christopher Reeve's Superman combined with seriousness of Superman without being too dark just the right mix of light and dark with the character plus he's a great family man Superman to his sons Joanthan and Jordan Kent. The rest of the list I agree with and also love Stephen Amell's Green Arrow Oliver Queen love him as Oliver.

Hi Rob! I don't think I've seen you comment on one of my videos in a while! Good to see you back... As for Fate, I'm not sure how well you remember the episode, but - SPOILER ALERT - he died by the end. And this episode showed him putting on the helmet for the first time in about 20 years. So, I'd say it would have been hard for the writers to come up with a way for the actor to play the same character in continuity with what we saw on the show. But then again, writers do find ways to bring dead characters back to life. And there's endless possibilities with doppelgangers of different earths (a doppelganger could be played by the same actor and look the same). But I think your real point is: the character here was exciting enough to be the main character of his own show - and I agree!

@@Joelikesmoviesnstuff Yeah I definitely didn't remember that. I wasn't a big fan of that show. But when i saw in the weekly previews that the JSA was going to show i wanted to watch at least that one. But hey it's Dr. fate right? If anyone can come back it would be him, lol!

Great video, and I am glad you added in there "in my opinion", because a lot of vids I watched they always said, "this is the top 10" or "these are the best". Everyone has there own opinion. and just a friendly reminder... Smallville started it all as the first CW series (after I believe its 4th or 5th season when WB/CBS merged to form the "CW",, and if it was not a success, then, in my opinion, it would have been a long while for the others to come into play. Also, if you want to know, I had to get used to Smallville since, again it was not this Earth. Also, I am a big (on the DC side), Superman/Aquaman/Green Lantern fan and comics helped us a lot while being stating in Germany. Thanks again and you can call me a friend...

Hi Joseph. Thanks so much for the nice comments! Yes, it did occur me how, technically, Smallville did not start off as a CW show. But then again, Supergirl did not either. That started off as a CBS show for Season 1, then it moved to CW for Season 2. So one could debate if it's right to include them on this list. But in my opinion, you can... Anyway, when did you first start watching Smallville? I think some people from younger generations don't understand how in the 70s and 80s there were great superhero movies and TV shows, but you never got to see two heroes meet (with the exception of those 80s made-for-TV Hulk movies). Even in that 1984 Supergirl movie, there were so many things to confirm it was set in the same universe as the Superman movies, but we never could have imagined seeing Superman and Supergirl on screen together.... Years later, when Smallville introduced Impulse, then Aquaman, later Cyborg, eventually Green Arrow, and then finally brought them all to appear alongside each other in one episode, it was something I really hadn't seen in live action before. It wasn't for another few years until 2008 when MCU released the Iron Man and Incredible Hulk movie, and we learned those were set in the same universe, and got hints that someday there would be an Avengers movie. Smallville definitely did things I had not seen before with live action superheroes. I believe that modern superhero movies would not be what they are if Smallville never existed.

Good list. But, I would change a couple things. I Smallville Clark higher on the list to number 2 or 1 spot. And for myself Smallville's Kara/Supergirl is the one I would put. She was honestly more of her own character and not really a carbon copy of Clark. She was brash, headstrong, fierce, capable, had a great level of confidence, had her own ideas. Helped Clark learn more about his heritage/family, taught him to fly and did a great job protecting him. Laura is also someone who has come to mean a lot to me personally.

Love the list but for me my number one has to go to Oliver Queen on Arrow his redemption arc and hero’s journey I think shows a lot of people how they can come back from there worse mistakes and thrive to be a better person. And I think his story wrapped up nicely sacrificing his save to save the multiverse so his friends and his family can have there seconds changes. And I’m a little bias Arrow is the first live action superhero I’d ever watched. Enjoy the content.

Hey, loved this video, man. Heads up: some will be from Smallville, others from the CW, and a couple are from the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover, Here's my top 10 favorite heroes, Aquaman from Smallville, Zatanna from Smallville, Hour Man from Stargirl, Batwoman (Ryan Wilder and Ruby Rose) from Batwoman, Green Arrow from Smallville, White Canary/ Sara Lance from Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash from The Flash, Bruce Wayne (Kevin Conroy) from Crisis On Infinite Earths, and lastly my favorite CW hero, Superman (Brandon Routh) from Crisis On Infinite Earths. Also I love Dr Fate from Smallville, Kid Flash from The Flash, Citizen Cold (Leo Snart) from Crisis On Earth X. And hey, why not do a list of your CW Villains from the Arrowverse shows and Stargirl. I would love to hear your thoughts. and maybe do another Aquaman on Smallville video since the other one was cut by the Internet.

@@Joelikesmoviesnstuff okay I’ll do my best and if you do make an Aquaman video please mention that the actor who plays Aquaman on Smallville Alan Ritchson also plays Hank Hall/ Hawk on Titans which I love does a good job as both characters he mentions in the season 6 episode Justice he only ever hears jokes at his expense which he constantly gets in comics, and I really enjoy the performance the actor gives in this show plus when he says in his first appearance that he and Clark Kent should form a junior lifeguard association or the JLA that’s a reference to the Justice League’s acronym of their group name plus we see Black Manta in season 10’s second to last episode where we saw a shadow of his body but I liked. Can’t wait to see your video on Thursday plus maybe we could talk about what an Aquaman related show that the CW could do

Yeah, I would have really liked to have seen a lot more of her after Season 7... The writers probably felt like they had to come up with some explanation for how she could still be a teenage girl after Clark has already become Superman. But she didn't go to the future and join the Legion until season 10. And technically, for the first half of Season 8, she was not aging while she was in the Phantom Zone... I don't know. I just would have liked to have seen more of her in Seasons 8, 9 and 10. And really, I would have liked to have seen her have more screen time in Season 7.

Personally, I would add Sara Lance to my list. Caity Lotz is brilliant in the role and so funny to watch. But also emotionally very good. When she and Barry said goodbye to Oliver in Crisis part 4, that was so sad. Maybe I would also add Gideon from Legends to the list, because Amy Pemberton does such a great job voicing the role and the times we got to see her in real-life on the show, she is also very funny.
