Don’t forget about the underrated games on ps2 honestly there’s some amazing underrated games that deserved more popularity the same popularity as the games like devil may cry and metal gear solid 3 subsistence like honestly I have a whole list of ps2 hack and slash there’s some really cool looking ones I want to get and play there are some I already played like genji and Tenchu 3 there so awesome also the shit load of fighting games and racing games never got remastered and those are some of the best things about ps2 also warriors games like samurai warriors and dynasty warriors I love a lot and great open world games like Spider-Man 2 and gta and shadow of the colossus theres so much more to destroy all humans is another great open world

Great list. I would like to mention soul calibur 3 too, it has such a wide arrange of content and game mods that after playing it, it makes you hate the later entries. Playing soul calibur 5 after soul calibur 3 feels like a massive downgrade

Playing 4, 5, or 6 after playing 2 feels like a massive downgrade. Never played 3 myself. Was introduced with 2, then got 4, 5 and 6 as they came out.... I remember playing SC4 and slowly realizing there was no map board mode for story and becoming disappointed

Though I knew everyone wanted PS2, even just from early screenshots it was clear the Dreamcast had it better together earlier. I mean 2X the resolution display and anti-aliasing, both things PS2 cheaped out on not to mention the muddy faded out colours! Yuck!

@@illmatticx First of all RE4 was a Gamecube game that came out by the time the OG Xbox did which was already graphically superior to the PS2. Meaning, by the time PS2 graphics did start to look good enough to rival the Dreamcast it was already irrelevant since the Xbox surpassed it. That's not to say the PS2 doesn't have its place. It was a cheap DVD player for its time and developer support gave it the best games library. However I had a ton of fun on Dreamcast with better production value earlier, and by the time it had its day, the Xbox was out with all the best PS2 games ported to it in better audio and video quality! PS2 is so overhyped people don't even trust their eyes and will say it was somehow better graphically... If your argument is for the games or DVD player I get it, otherwise you're fooling yourself to believe it was really pulling off the graphics that it should have at a time when it would have been relevant.

I wish someone would do a list like this without any games that were re-released elsewhere in HD. These top how many lists are usually full of games with superior versions on the, for instance, ps3. As those drop in price more n more, it becomes less sensible to make yet-another-top-ps2-games-list.

@@paine7992 , actually, speaking as a person that owns FFXII, I find that the story and characters are bland and boring, and while it certainly is a pretty game, my biggest overall gripe about the game is that I feel like I am useless with the control over my characters. At least in Rogue Galaxy, I can switch to any of the characters that are in my party (which, in the case of that game, is a three character party, as opposed to a four character party, as is standard on the majority of Final Fantasy games, VI and VII being the possible exceptions of the main series) on the fly AND physically attack enemies. Granted, the story on Rogue Galaxy was horrible, if not outright nonexistent, but at least it wasn't as dull as watching paint peel from the wall like it was in Final Fantasy XII, or the entirety of the Final Fantasy series, for that matter.

I understand that you only had 10 slots for this video, but I don't understand the choice of including RE and SH in the same list. Don't take me wrong, they both are "must haves", but I think they are too similar to be included in the same list. Ive still got the originals on PS2 so i didnt bother with the remakes, i liked yakuza 0 on PS4, still aint completed it even though ive put about 70 hours into it since day 1 though, those bloody side missions are just too funny to pass up haha.
