I have watched a lot of the 2024 world champs and i see a changing of the guard. Kieran Wilson could do it again next year, Jak Jones is a star of the future and will not take this lying down, Mark Allen is a different man to what he was a few years ago, Jack Lizouski is still getting better, Ai Jiahui will benefit from the maturing effects of this tournament and we shall see yet more talent blossom from China. I suspect Judd Trump is past his peak, Mark Williams will likely retire as will Mark Selby. Of course 10 years from now Ronnie O'Sullivan will still be in with a chance.

@@Glasschin-ot9ei Standards changed, thanks to Hendry; he set the standard for modern snooker. He won 7 WC's in a decade and totally dominated the sport. You don't compare stats across eras, you compare who was most dominant and who elevated the game the most. And who was the toughest, most feared competitor in the sport. The answer is easily Hendry.

@@black_eagle How exactly did Hendry dominate ? Lets remember the standard he had to play back when he won so many titles the only real competitors he had was Davis and White. Ronnie won most of his titles with a much stronger field with so many top players that can win it any day just to name a few , Trump, Higgins, Selby, Williams, Robertson, Allen, Murphy the list goes on and on. So in conclusion he was a great player for the opponents he had to face, did he have any of the type of opponents I mentioned he would definitely not have won much or ANY.
