Top Ten Stalkers From Video Games Remake (Halloween Special)

During my first year on KZbin, I made a countdown on my favorite stalker enemies in video games as the Halloween special. Unfortunately, due to being sick and my options at the time, I couldn’t make it in time for Halloween nor could I find ten entries for it. Plus, the video itself has become rather dated now. So here I am almost two years later to provide a revised list that actually has ten entries and is on time for Halloween. Have fun!

Yooo, I was waiting for the bunker. This monster scared me into temporarily quitting horror games for a while. And the fact that you have to monitor the generator while avoiding this thing brings up my anxiety

An underratted pick is The Nun from "Nun Massacre", a retro horror game made by PUPPET COMBO who make VHS/PS1 style horror games. She stalks the player throughout the entire game, is lightning fast and can chase you for a long while, has an advanced AI that can stalk the player outside a chase and will camp rooms you need to go to for important items. She also has one of the most terrifying chase themes in any game ive played. There's also a lot of creepy details behind her too like her creepy whispering bible verses when shes not chasing you, her creepy design and the fact that apperently her chase theme features a 911 call of a women being attacked mixed into it for added horror. Truly an underated monster.

A nice video perfect for Halloween I don't really have a stalker favorite but a couple I can think of are Mr. X, Nemesis (Original), Xenomorph (Aliens Isolation), but that's because I haven't played many horror games but you have good choices.

Here are some comments on some entries of your list : 9 : I only experienced the pikmin 4 version and that one was kinda intense. 7 : Oh boy I remember the days of dealing with these robots and they really scared me. 6 : Fun fact, that guy's name is also my actual name, hence why my username is "Dark H", because H is the first letter of my name. 5 : I've yet to play this series but for now, Nemesis looks pretty intimidating. 1 : Wait a minute, YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE A HORROR GAME OF YOUR OWN ?! THAT'S AWESOME, but seriously, you're really going to make this project all on your own ?

Well, I'll have to enlist some artists and voice actors, but in terms of actually building the game, coding, programming, all that jazz, yes it'll be me doing all that.

@@tonysonic456 Sounds pretty ambitious, but I'm glad you're planing to do this and once you publish it, I'll gladly try it out on PC if there won't be any other options, otherwise, I'll buy it on consoles since I'm pretty bad on PC gaming and my actual computer doesn't seem powerful enough to run most games. Speaking of which, do you think there is a chance you could port this game on consoles ?

@@DarkH10 Once it's finished, I'll be looking into porting options to get it to console, but unless Nintendo finally gives us a more powerful Switch, that console likely won't be an option.

At this point, Alien isn’t just a movie ip. It’s expanded into a multi media brand with novels, comics, and games. There’s even a few Alien vs Predator games, and there were only two of those movies.

@@tonysonic456 So you pretty much wake up with no explanation in a huge square field during the sunset confined by a forest with really large trees that act as a "wall" for the tutorial of the game. Now, I was thinking about adding some kind of sinister voice that guides you during the game, giving you informations about pretty much everything, but I feel like it shouldn't be only a voice but an animated object like a glove you can't take off or a flower attached to your body with a creepy eye (let's do the glove for now and then we see). The glove tells you that you have to survive and make a fire before the night comes or some kind of raven like creatures (take the Opila bird from garten of ban ban:reincarnated as an example of what it could look like) are gonna come out from that large and creepy forest that looks like it's haunted and look for preys. Then it explains that the trees in this weird, alien world that somehow looks very familiar but unsettling contain a large amount of alcohol and that a simple spark from a rock could easily set it on fire, and that's what you do: you gather some wood, a bit of stone and put them all together and start a fire. Then the night comes and the creatures start screaming at you but they never get close to the fire for obvious reasons. The game keeps going on like a survival game where you gather food, water, upgrade weapons and explore those biomes while you encounter friendly creatures during the day, and humanoid, aggressive, fast and terrifying creatures during the night, and the more nights you spend in the same place, the more the place will be packed with monsters so you gotta move and survive those liminal and creepy spaces. And the more you go, the scarier the creatures get and the more familiar and disturbing the areas become, to the point that you see weird and distorted childhood houses human structures, discovering that you are the last human in a post apocalyptic world where only animals survived. I'm not English so please forgive me for my foolish mistakes and if you have questions you can reply to this same comment and I'll respond in a few hours. I'm so happy that I finally shared my idea 😊

@@francescacastronovo647 Very interesting ideas. Could make for a decent survival game, but I'm not sure about it necessarily being a good horror game. It feels more like Pikmin where it has horror elements, but the focus is different. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing these ideas expanded upon.

@@tonysonic456 well we could think together about what the goal of the game could be and what the day time creatures could look like. I think that a scary game that doesn't focus on scares or jumpscares can be even more terrifying than actual horror games that are sold as horror and nothing else, since you don't expect any particular monster from it. So we could focus more on the fear of the unknown, rather than actual scares. Of course, this won't be sold as an horror game but just as a survival one. Let me know what you think about it cus I don't have idea what else could be in the game, considering that I took inspiration from Grounded. (Search it on KZbin, it's not a scary game but definitely a good survival)
