The Gary/Abby scene is amazing. You can just see the hurt in his eyes and then the fear in her eyes when she knows she has been busted! One scene that I really thought was good was when Val is checking Lilimae into the old folks home and at the same time Gary and Abby are getting married. That literally made me cry. No child wants to put their parent in a home and that would be devastating. The music they played for those scenes made it incredible too! Just some of the fights between Abby and Karen never get enough credit either! I know everyone is looking for depth all the time, but they were really fun! When Abby had her office in the city and Karen came barging in about Diana and they just went at it! Abby had to throw her out of the office and was so ticked!! Fun stuff!! hank you for posting this! :)

These are great selections and there are probably 1000's more. I don't think none of these compare to the scene when Gary, pretending to be dead to avoid some powerful group that was after him, was supposedly in the back of an ambulance at the ranch dead. Val, who had not been brought into the ruse entirely, drove to the ranch to see what was going on and just as she went to look inside the ambulence it drove away and she frantically went running after it with Mac chasing her down. The absolute breckdown she had while it drove away is mindblowing. It is/was here on KZbin somewhere. It always blew my mind the actresses on this powerful show NEVER took home emmy's for their extraordinary performances. ???????????????

totally agree! that was when she was pregnant with garys babies and he didnt even know it-ben had left and gary and her had just began talking again-she sees him in the ambulance and mack tells her he is dead-she loses it! one of if not the best acting ive ever seen! and she had so many many others...she could act without saying a word-just by her face and actions...loved her on knots and she played val so very well...

I loved the Wolfbridge story line and particularly loved the story line with Abby on her last season on the show, the whole Murakame scheme where she tricked Karen and Gary out of their shares of Lotus Point. She was stunningly beautiful, especially during her last season. I have it all recorded somewhere on VHS.

Of the night time soaps Knots Landing and Falcon Crest we my favorites
@gpmcd1044 Жыл бұрын
Why can I not find Knots Landing anywhere anymore. They don’t rerun it on TV, they only offer the first 2 or 3 seasons on DVD, it’s not streaming on any of the Roku channels (that I can find). All the other soaps are showing. Knots was just as popular as Dallas, and more popular than most of the others that were out at that time period, and Knots just seems like it was swept under the rug. Why? Does anyone know?
@jhonwask6 ай бұрын
I've been saying that for 20 years. You can find online the entire show from someone's VHS collection. I have it on DVD, most of which don't work, and on a USB stick, which I haven't watched the entire run yet. Not too bad quality and the commercials are usually edited out.

Agree jmnny85! Though I think they really gave up on stories for Val after the babynapping plot (aside from the Jill cliffhanger). It always was "poor Val" for this or that, and Val becoming more and more Joan Van Ark. Which was not bad...though unrealistic.

@@supersoaps You've done a great job with these videos 👏👍 love the info you add, I watched Dallas,KL, Dynasty,some Falcon Crest,but my Num 1 fav was the Great KL Dallas was a close second The dream season made it unwatchable after that for me. I agree Lynn Marie Latham writing for Val was horrible,Joan Van Ark commented that her character was treated like a joke, getting her married to that abusive Danny Waleska was horrific character development. What did you mean about the Val becoming more JVA?
@supersoaps5 жыл бұрын
@@jmnny85 I mean her wacky hairdos, dropping the accent, becoming more diva-ish, so to say, even due to a brain virus, it was painful to watch. Could you really think in hindsight that Val the waitress would become the glamorous writer seen in Back to the Cul-de-sac? I do love character development, but in Knots they did it wonderfully with Gary, Karen, Mack, Paige, or Laura, but it was hit-and-miss with Val IMHO. What do you think jmnny85?

Agree Comic Man! I recently rewatched the scene when he finds out that Jill cheated on him, and Gary plays the offended husband, when he did the same thing to all his wives or partners, including Jill (with Val). Writers like those from Knots can do that and turn the characters into complex human beings, instead of well-dressed walking clichés. I have to agree. Dobson's idea of great acting (it seemed) was to yell a lot. It didn't help any what a massive hypocrite Mack was.
