Beento the island 85 times..over 30 years..83 working sadly....but the locals are lovely. If you go again, stay at the Welbeck in Douglas. Michael and Irene are perfect hosts.

Wonderful blog as usual. Your gran is very active for her age and was obviously enjoying her time with you. I have visited 9 times in the last 2 and 1/2 years since my son and daughter in law moved to the island, and can't wait for my next trip. I have a question, can I book a day trip to the Calf or an overnight stay as I am a keen nature photographer (hobby). I would love to spend some time there. Thanks and can't wait for the next video.

Thank you so much! She is indeed and absolutely loved her trip to the IoM. Wow, how wonderful! It is a lovely place isn’t it. You can book day trips to the Calf (if you follow Port St Mary Calf of Man Boat on Facebook, Steve posts when he is doing trips throughout the year). You can also book to stay in the guest accommodation via Island Escapes. I believe the bookings go live in the new year. I hope you are able to make it out next time! It’s the perfect place for wildlife photography!
