Can always just go ride Kingda Ka. I'm glad I got 5-6 rides in 2018 on it. Fantastic. Not sure this will live up to it, nothing like a 0-120mph launch but it'll be cool.

Both kingda ka and ttd were amazing front row, the launch on king da is better imo because the launch gets faster and faster whereas the old ttd launch was a punch in the gut but very quickly hit its top speed. I’m flying to Ohio on Friday to go first the kings island and then onto Sandusky to visit cedar point so I’m looking forward to seeing where they are in the build.

Something that people always talked about regarding Dragster was the LAUNCH 🚀. Seriously… Going from 0-120mph was the highlight of the ride. Going from 0-74mph won’t be as exciting. Then the additional 26+ (100mph) won’t really have much impact as it’s already in motion in reverse. You mentioned superman escape at six flags… However, that was a 0-100mph launch in 3-4 seconds. This new ride would be 74-100mph reverse launch. So this experience won’t have the same punch as Superman. Then finally… The last launch 100-120mph. Yes I really am happy to see that they reimagined the ride. However, it will definitely lack that same intensity. Hydraulic launch systems remain the best and I really really hope someone can build a new launch design with that same intensity. LSM really lacks that. Great video mate! I’m just a bit sad to see that best part get changed. I’m all for power rather than a rear spike.

I think it looks very cool!! I live in Ohio so you hear tons of feedback and people have mixed feelings. First, they hate the name and had hopes for something more original. I think it is fitting and am fine with is as truthfully, that is actually what it is! Why not just state the obvious...LOL!! Looking forward to a ride on it in the future.

I'm happy to see Top Thrill is saved and I think the ride will be fun. I just wish they would have gone for it a little more. Disappointed that they did not do: 1) faster initial launch to more closer simulate the originals launch power and to get more of a true rollback 2) some type of speed bump along the launch track for ejector airtime 3) a 500 foot spike to be first to cross the 500 foot marker. It will still likely be amazing but I think it could have been spectacular if they had truly gone all in.

I’m definitely in the positive camp on this one, I love Superman Escape from Krypton at Magic Mountain and it’s going to have a very similar experience together with a whole lot more after it! I think the longer ride is great and makes it into something unique rather than just an accelerator / top hat coaster. Probably time for me to head back to CP in 2024!

By the way, I said before that my family and I are planning to come to the UK as a celebratory trip to commemorate me graduating community college. As part of the itinerary, we plan to include theme parks. I think you said before that you recommended Alton Towers and Blackpool Pleasure Beach as two candidates for thrills. I had a question for you: When is the best time to travel to the UK?

I'd recommend September (from approx 6th onwards) schools have gone back for the new school year so weekdays are quiet. September weather here is generally pretty good too!

I know that Charlotte was disappointed that they didn’t add a pond to the return track to create a Top Thrill Soaker ride 😇. Well, they still have Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls! 💦☔️

The lightning trains carry an additional two riders compared to previous trains. The seats are also higher off the floor so everything including original top hat and spiral should feel different. I think the reverse spike will have some great floater. It could theoretically have the same or better throughput. Say a launch every 60 seconds at 20 per train 60*20=😮1200 riders per hour. It should be *a lot* more reliable so even if its technically less per/hr with timing (70/80) more will still ride per season than before. Looking at the POV it looks as if the train goes around halfway up the top hat, 7 horizontal supports and it reaches the 4th. Around 350ft in reverse then 420 forward. I'm really excited for my home park to open this next season. Already bought my pass... they're on sale for $99 through September 4th which includes the rest of the 23 season *and all* of 24. Get them while you can!!!

I love your enthusiasm and positivey! So many other enthusiasts are being such negative nancy's about the whole thing. I will forever be bummed that the ride that got me over my fear of roller coasters, as well as my favorite roller coaster is gone forever, but this will forsure be an absolute blast when its finnished. other more detailed channels have already workedout the through put, its going to workout at around 67 seconds per train rather then 58-60 on the old train. so with the trains holding an extra 2 riders at 20 rather then the old 18, the overall throughput should be around the same as before. and of course with lsm's failing a lot less then hydrolic so there will be a lot less down time.. the over all riders per year should be much higher

I’m a bit disappointed with the first launch but I think it will still be an awesome ride. I just can’t stop thinking about hero at flamingoland. I’m hoping and praying that it works and works well so I remain open minded. I’m booked to go to six flags great adventure and cedar point next year May/June time. I’m hoping it opens for the beginning of the season. I’ve bought my passes in the sale and it said ‘ride top thrill 2 all season long’ so I’m assuming the aim is start of the season. In addition - the ‘rollback’ marketing is a bit of a pharce as it doesn’t come anywhere near the true rollback that you used to get so I wish they would stop that hype. I’ve had 2 rollbacks on dragster. They were awesome and I feel very lucky!!

For folks that have already ridden the original, the first launch will be a let down I reckon. The 3rd launch better be good. Still think an extended track layout after the tophat might have been better. Suppose only possible if LSM's could be installed on part of the vertical track, to get it over. throughput wont be an issue - over the course of a year or even a day this will massively outdo dragster for riders. dragsters may of had a higher throughput but the this new version has consistent throughout day to day year to year - this will allow more riders to actually get on the ride compared to previous.

It won’t just make or break Zamperla, but also Cedar Point as well. This ride could either be really awesome or really terrible, terrible to a point where famous coaster enthusiasts actually boycott Cedar Point forever. And if the boycott happens, the general public could follow the enthusiasts and avoid going to Cedar Point forever. And with no guests, the park will have no choice but to go out of business, close down forever, lay off all its fantastic employees, and every roller coaster would be torn down. The front gate, sealed off, brick by brick. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen and that Top Thrill 2 will be great!!! I’m hoping that it’ll draw a lot of people in (not too many, because I want a chance to ride it too)!!!!!! I’m hoping that this coaster is a great tribute to its predecessor!!!!!!! I’m hoping for greatness from Cedar Point, and so far, they’ve never let me down!!!!!!! I’m pulling for you, Cedar Point!!!!
