When we were there opening weekend, we experienced a lot of downtime with TT2. Hoping it reopens before coastermania!

I thought the initial opening went really well. the press event and the first rider's event seemed like they were rolling trains. even opening weekend seemed pretty smooth. I'm sure they will get it figured out soon enough. all rides seem to be a pain in the ass for their first year anyways.

That's what happens when you rush a coaster for opening season without the proper testing, I was going to drive the 10+ hours just for this ride, but now I have to rearrange my schedule for something else for now! I will probably wait till next year now till all the glitches are worked out. Maybe go on a cruise instead! 😁

Cruise sounds nice right about now lol, sorry your plans got messed up. Always sucks, i made the 10 hr trip to great adventure for ka to be down and the day after we left it reopened lol only coaster ive ever missed on a trip really.

Itinerary has already been changed. It won't open up till 2025. Cedar Fair or Six Flags, whatever they are going to call themselves, made a bad decision by choosing Zamperla. Look what happened to Wild Mouse last season. Let's hope they learn their lesson and not always take the cheap route when adding new attractions. The proverb, you get what you pay for, certainly applies here.

I have a feeling it will be closed for the rest of the 2024 season. I hope I’m wrong but it doesn’t seem like a quick fix. I really hope it opens before the 28th cause I wanna go back. And I’m sure all eyes will always be on this ride especially with what happened with the injury

Bottom line, It should have been Intamin all along to reimagine Top Thrill Dragster. I saw this coming when it was announced that Zamperla was going to reimagine The Coaster. Cedar Fair should have Shaken Hands with Intamin, and renewed their partnership with them. Oh Well?? You get what you paid for Cedar Fair!! Trusting a manufacturer that hasn't even built a Hyper Rollercoaster, and their tallest Rollercoaster is what? Just over 150ft, with a Max Train speed of 57mph?? Let's face it. Cedar Fair chose Cheap over Experienced!! Oh Yes, Those Lightning Trains aren't built for that kind of speed. Top Thrill Dragster Trains were Real Work Horses!!
