Get your first look at one of Top Thrill 2's sleek trains in this preview from IAAPA Expo in Orlando with Zamperla. The blue train is one of three that will be used in normal operation. For space purposes, only the lead car and trailing car are on display at the Expo.

@@garywillis7253 well you just never know really. As far as I could tell by way of announcements, there was never any confirmation about opening. Just an aim to have it open in 2024. Obviously they’re more confident now that they’re going to be ready.

I've got a feeling that the train will have a lot of vibrations due to the lack of polyurethane on the wheels compared to most steel coasters, does anyone know if this is true?

No, because New Jersey sucks and has laws that forces you to have restraints over a certain height.

The restraint thing is false. A lawyer went through all the NJ amusement regulations and found no such restriction. Intamin simply stopped using t bars around that time because of a few notable fatal accidents involving that exact design and riders of larger size.

I’m still concerned about how much downtime this will have. I haven’t been to CP since 2020. I plan on going back for the 2024 season. I hope I don’t make the four hour trip for it to be down the two days I’ll be there. Even though they still have a bunch of world class rollercoasters

Cedar Fair could/should have done so much more with this "reimagining" starting with a better name. Was no one seriously creative enough to come up with something better than... Top Thrill 2?! Beyond that, they really should have started the launch backwards and added something like an airtime bump in the spike to help with capacity. It was bad before and now it will be even worse. A speed hill would have been nice before going up the top hat as well but again, zero creativity here. Love the colors and the trains but everything else looks like something they gave to a kid to design

@@jeremycovelli The name is a direct reference to Top Fuel Dragsters. Last time I checked, that's drag racing The front of the trains look like a Mix of Formule 2 and Formula Three (all while being overly round), while the back of the train has a wing that looks like a curvy/edgeless version of the wing from the McLaren M23 from 1975 (which is a Formula 1 car) Like I said, the design is beautiful, but it just doesn't add up with the name. The original trains of Top Thrill Dragster conveyed that message much better (with the V8 detail and the giant wing to keep the car stableised at close to 300 MPH)
