I have no clue why ppl think wars are competitive. Like its just zerg v zerg. Maybe shows who has better team coordination. But i fail to see the individual skill. Like can any of these player even function without their teammates? Why get a good pvp player into your war roster instead of some rando that is good at following directions. If someone played only war i have no clue how they will even develop any basic combat skill. Like how are you countering and dodging and doing skill shoots when its just a blur of AOE on ground with healers pumping the group. Ranged just shoot into clump. I love your content Mecrow, but after playing in several wars, i still dont know the appeal. Maybe im missing something? Im not saying there isnt any skill in war, just the skill seems less combat focused and more "tactical" and "coordination". I dont doubt war players are good. Just war doesnt represent their skill at all in my opinion. There are few content creators who actually have pvp footage that show them outplaying others.

War is really over rated. It’s not that good or fun. It’s just an ego stroker for some pretty pathetic excuses of gamers and human beings. Half if not more just buy gold online and use exploity builds. It’s not really skilled.

I would say that is new world in a nutshell in general you go into opr 90% of builds are all spears, fire staffs, or bows. All very similar builds, duels are all people playing very similar builds to each other and your pve speed runners all have set builds that you have to play or you can’t join. It’s not just wars

@@aortenzio I don't think war players are ego strokers or are bad ppl. I just think the war game mode isn't really combat skill based. I think it is 80% tactical based. Like most war content is "war roster set up" or something similar. I'm sure that takes skill to develop. And I'm sure ppl like that mental aspect of it. But I play new world for the combat. And war videos have yet to show me skill based combat clips, which again may be not be its focus.

​@@slackermerc6509I agree. I mean the main focus of war is territory gain. Not skill based combat. An expert shot caller can fill his ranks with mediocre players with "ok" gear and still win most fights. It is a game of coordination. That's why you won't find hard-core skill based pvpers like Deity Veny or Savvo (I'm sure there are more but those off the top of my head) uploading war clips. Because watching that tells you nothing of their individual skill. 90% of war skill happens on an excel sheet.

1000+ wars played here. Whats fun about wars isnt the difficulty, because it isnt difficult. If anything its the easiest pvp content since its aoe bashing, zerg fest and stat checking at its finest. Whats fun however is the community based environnement it creates. Its very engaging content since you create links with people. Well at least it used to be when game wasnt dead. Now its just the same alts fighting each other. These alts were benched back in the days and are now angry mofos, hence why the toxicity is huge in the war community, at least in EU.

1rts of all could everyone check how many of active players base have more then 10 war achievements? Well I tell you : less then 5% . So what we are talking about??? When Eu players have 2-3 accounts just for war . Not sure casual players interested about Wars. 😮
