To be honest - scanning for resources is pretty unnecesary...exept because of grapfic settings where you cant see anything under the grass. ;) Anyway - thank you for good tips and tricks - this is EXACTLY what I was looking for ❤ No unneeded talks - just straight to the point - great job, thank you ☺

True. It does help me. I swear I can't see the fiber when it's dropped in the tall grass. Haha Thanks for watching happy it helped. Appreciate you! ❤️

1. Its not a good idea to put breaks in the middle of the day, villagers literally drop everything when its miller time so more breaks mean more scattered items on the ground, sometimes forever abandoned 2. Cooking takes a long time, especially for stew. Cooking houses should always work around the clock and you can stagger everyone's awake times so only a few people are coming around for breakfast every couple hours. Otherwise, most will go hungry in the morning and come back later to eat during their work hours. If the fisherman eats while fishing, they drop their bait, never to pick it up again! 3. Smolkers love eating your iron and other small items and are constantly trying to sneak in. make sure to always have your village completely enclosed by fences, trenches, whatever it takes to keep them out. 4. Limit the variety of things you keep in any given warehouse. Warehouse workers will walk all the way across the map and down into a mine to pick up a bone if they feel like it, so the more things they are capable of picking up the more time they spend wandering all over the place. Given that warehouses max out at 2 workers each, this is important to mitigate. 5. You can enable a whitelist to prevent people from entering warehouses. This can be very useful, for example by having a warehouse full of raw food be only accessible by cooks and the warehouse's employees, to prevent hungry villagers from eating all the ingredients when they wake up and the cookhouse isn't full of meals (They still seem to eat out of the cookhouse's inventory though). You could have a warehouse for raw food that not even the cooks can use, to purposely let it spoil for compost! 6. You can tell the metalworker to only use already-crafted toolheads for making tools and weapons to prevent them using up all your iron on new hammers for every new villager. But if there isn't a toolhead available they will still put the iron they need into the forge and light it! They won't make the toolhead, because they're not allowed to, but they'll keep the forge burning all day wasting charcoal until you come and make it for them. Consider just making these tools yourself if you want to avoid it, or ban your metalworker from the coal warehouse and ration it

Thinking about it, I don't know if raw food in a raw food silo can even rot. Still not sure how to get compost aside from by accident

Other components aside, having a workshop order for rope helps your builders.

Oh yeah! Anything the villagers can do and you don't have to is key!

You can fit 13 in the cottage. You can also dismantle the beds, then the cottage over and over for 16 free thatch each time if you've farmed all the thatch on the map.

Now that is some strategy! Love it! 🤣

They just need a button to tell the villagers to man up sometimes, like when they tell you 'I need a rake' and they are stood next to the tool storage.. Another game i'm losing my life too thanks to Bo. Cheers bud good vid :)

have a storage unit in a warehouse and someone assigned there to recycle broken metal tools.

From what I've seen, they don't build in the order you pin...it's the order that the blueprint was placed. Also, don't dismantle a building that is holding resources...you will lose them.
@Bohani5 ай бұрын
You might be right with this one. I must have pinned them every time so they must have had the same order. I learned that today when I destroyed the log storage on the warehouse. I was like: what? Haha

@@BohaniMy gf and I just got into iron and it's our first playthrough, she nearly dismantled the bloomery with half our iron stock in it, previous games have taught me never to assume you won't lose the resources, and we moved em out first, glad I was right to do so lol.
