Thanks Shane...very timely topic. I took your advice on a few of these settings. I've got the 4G version but have yet to activate it. I am getting pretty much a day. I charge around 11AM, off charger around 1 and then sleep in it and repeat the next day. I do wish we could control the heart rate interval...I think that could get us 1 1/2 days. If I may digress a little...I think my favorite feature of the Pixel Watch Vs. Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is how it handles notifications...they are simpler, faster and just overall, easier for me to deal with. I feel on the GW, I have to go a few extra steps to either see or dismiss notifications. I am about to finish my review of Pixel Pro 7/Pixel Watch and return to S22 Ultra/GW5. I just feel I am more fully functional with that combo. That said, I had forgotten how much I liked how smooth and simple the Pixel Phone is...and I do like the watch...just feel I am missing out on a few key features and I realize how good Samsung Health really is.

I turned off tilt to wake as well. If I need to see my Pixel Watch screen, I just push the crown in. Wake's it right up. The only tile I have active is forecaset weather. I don't have a need for all the other tiles. My watch face is "Utility" in gray color; it's a darker version of white, so easy to see, but not all pixels light up. I have always on display and adaptive brightness turned off and have. I have WiFi and NFC turned off (I don't use my watch for Googlel Pay, I use my Pixel 7 Pro for Google Pay). I have all the notifications from watch turned on. I only have Camera, Clock, Fitbit, GPay, Gmail, Google, Google FI, Google Pixel Watch, Google Wallet, Home, Maps, Meet, Messages, Outlook, Personal Safety, Phone, Settings, and Tasks turned on. All others are turned off. I have all the watch and apps updated. I took my Pixel Watch off the charger at 4:30am today. It is now 12:45pm and I still have 85% battery remaining. So, basically in 8 hours, I've used 15% battery. I've used the watch to place a call, tested out using the watch to take a photo on my Pixel 7 Pro phone, texted some messages and a few other things. Not a heavy user, and don't plan to be. With this kind of battery life, I'm not going to complain as this watch is handling everything I purchased it for and I'm getting fairly good battery life from it. I also purchased the Ringke Pixel Watch protective case in matte black to match my watch and I love it. It feels like it will protect the watch every well. www.ringkestore.com/collections/pixel-watch

After 4 days of ownership of the Pixel Watch.... I turned off all the things they requested: AOD, changed the display brightness, turned off the "Sunlight Boost", turned off GPS, turned off mobile network, turned off WiFi, turned off some notifications, put screen timeout on 10 seconds, turned off "Ok Google" voice detection, & I downloaded my music instead of streaming it. I wake at 4:00am, it's 10:00am now & I'm at 62%. At this rate I might not even make it until 3pm when I get off work. Maybe they should supply another charging puck with the watch, since it won't even make it until I get home! Honestly, I don't know what else I missed? Other than "Tilt To Wake", but I want that on. I've only done a 20 minute morning workout each day. The only thing I can think of that might be draining the battery is that I have both the Fitbit app & MyFitnessPal on my watch & both are tracking? I want the water complication from MyFitnessPal to keep my water consumption in track. Frustrated. One thing you did that I didn't try in my previous comment above to different forums asking for help is turning off the "Touch to Wake". I'll see if that makes any difference....

I think it's one of those apps. Maybe my fitness pal I usually get 6 hours with 20-25% drain on my battery (AoD on, Tilt-to-wake off, touch to activate on)

To get good battery life, do this: Turn off "Hey Google" Turn off "Tilt to wake" Turn ON "Touch to wake" Turn ON "Always on display" Do the above and you should have battery that ends at like 40% at night before you sleep. Just charge it up for like 10 minutes while you brush your teeth/get ready for bed and it will be back up to 70%. Sleep with it on and it'll track your sleep just fine. Wake up and Before you go to the bathroom, charge it again to 100% (like 30 mins) Enjoy!

I'm sure that's fine for some people, but for me that's still way too much charging. I have too many options that last three or four days.

Thank you Shane. Is there a way one can know app-wise battery consumption on pixel watch?

To see the time and record heart rate and do some workouts? Its like a feature phone compared to android wear at the same price as galaxy and google watches

I guess I don't understand the people who knock the battery life. My current fossil sport gets taken off every night to charge and it's been a non issue for me. Unless you're doing sleep tracking (which is a very small minority of users) this makes no sense. I'd more likely forget to charge the watch if it was every 4 days vs an every night occurrence like my phone.

I get where you're coming from, but not having to think about your watch's battery every day is nice for a lot of us. If your pattern is already charging every night then you'll be fine.
