If the recent article by the Intercept is accurate the US attempt to build a pier for delivering Gaza aid is not going to be fully functional because one or more of the ships delivering the materials to erect the pier have major mechanical issues . If this article is accurate the Gaza aid being shipped will at the very least be limited and wouldn’t it be more practical for the US to properly service our own equipment before sending any type of assistance ( particularly to Israel ) or maybe this was the US plan to appear compassionate knowing they would not fulfill their offer ( BECAUSE OF MECHANICAL DIFFICULTIES ) .

Why the "Paul Teich" name with a copyright symbol? I'm curious who/what that is. I don't know if Bob himself wrote these lyrics, but I know no one in 2023 wrote them, as this song is decades old. (Although I see some changes in a couple stanzas). Just curious, that name+copyright symbol seems a little misleading. Interested in who that is though!

The US Government supports a two state solution, it just doesn't support the existence of a Palestinian State. Make that make sense. It is a shame for the Palestinian people that they aren't deemed to serve some "strategic" interest of the US.

@@georgemetesky5519 Whatever. Nice attempt at deflection. The Israeli's don't want a 2 state solution. Bibi has been upfront that one of his primary goals is to ensure that there is never a viable Palestinian state. Even the more "moderate" members of the Israeli government aren't willing to agree to a Palestinian state. They're only willing to consider something less than a state. So trying to put this all on the Palestinians is a bit rich. The biggest barrier to a 2 state solution is the Israeli government. The next biggest impediment is the US. My comment was directed at the hypocrisy of our government officials constantly saying how the US supports a 2 state solution. And then doing everything it can to back an Israeli government that is committed to destroying any possibility of a Palestinian state (and using our veto power in the UN to make sure the Palestinians remain occupied and under Israeli oppression).
